When you find a good person who is a true friend wouldn't you rather treat them right?

I have always been a good friend, but it seems that some people think it is a weakness. I had a friend who I have help through thick and thin. Bought things for her and her children. We have went out with our children many times for pizza and spend a lot of time talking about guys. I would invite her and her children over for dinner a lot. We have known each other for about 2 years.

I have found that she is so irresponsible, she runs her phone bill up and comes over to use mine, of course she is not allow to do the same to mine. She is always at the brink of losing her electric or phone or cable. Her mom gets her out of those jams.

Then I found out she was stabbing me in the back by talking about me to others, and also found out she and my boyfriend were seeing each other. I dumped her like a plague. If I ever find a true friend I would cherish them, hard to find someone to trust in a world so bad.

Why when some people have something good they just destroy it?

When you find a good person who is a true friend wouldn't you rather treat them right?
life is better with smile.
Reply:well, surely this is a hard pill to swallow. but look at it as a life lesson. the lesson is that people will use you like a piece of tissue and then discard you once their needs are met. If you act like a floormat then you'll be walked on. yeah, it's a cold thing to say, but it's true. actually you always knew she was using you because more than likely there were signs that you sent to her that said you needed her and t hose family type ties. she knew you needed that more than she needed you. but, your were convenient. try not to take it too hard. it's her loss, cause you did what was right in your heart. learn from it and move on. she'll need you before you need her. try not to be available unless it's life or death an then, exit stage left asap. don't be a beck and call person.
