Did you find out the sex of your baby?

Hi. I was just wondering how many people found out the sex of there baby or how many kept it a surprise. If you did find out why did you find out and were you glad you did? I'd love to find out the sex of our baby but my husband wants to keep it a surprise. Has anyone found out the sex of baby no. 1 and then not found out the sex of baby no.2 or 3?

Did you find out the sex of your baby?
Hello and Congrats on your pregnancy!!! I had my ultrasound on Feb. 26th. But I was the other way around, I didn't want to know what I was having but my husband did, and it just so happened that during the actual day and moment of the ultrasound I was having mixed thoughts. I wanted to know, I didn't want to know...so as soon as the ultrasound tech asked, I just blurted out, "YES!!!" So I am proud to admit that my first born will be a GIRL!

In your situation, if he truly doesn't want to know, then see if the ultrasound technician will write in on a piece of paper and put it inside of an envelop. That way, you can either look at it yourself or you and your husband can compromise on a date that you can look at the envelop together. I dont know, but good luck and again, Congratulations!!!
Reply:With #1...both me and my husband wanted to find out ASAP

Same with #2

With #3 we were going to wait and do the whole surprise thing, but then once we found out I was having another ultrasound..i couldn't resist!

I'm glad I found out w/ all 3. We were prepared and had everything we needed in all the right colors! I think it saves money!

I have 3 boys by the way!
Reply:Well I have not had her yet assuming that its correct after 3 gender checks she is a she. She is my first and I am glad that I know and my husband really wanted to know also. I am glad because we have bought some girl things. I didn't want to wait because I really wanted a girl and couldn't wait to find out and if its a boy we would have to have the money for the circumcision right then. My husband just said that he is going to want to know for our second to because he just wants to know.
Reply:i knew in my mind what i was going to have but i wanted to be sure and sue enough i was right it's a boy and i was happy he was a boy but i would not have cared either way and yes i was glad i did good luck and congrats
Reply:I wanted to know the sex of mine during my whole pregnancy but my doctor gave me an ultrasound at around 13 weeks and told me she didn't have a reason to give me another. It wasn't till around 32 weeks when my doctor had surgery and I had a different doctor that I finally got the ultrasound I was waiting for. Since I hated all of the green and yellow stuff everywhere I was really glad I did. I feel more prepared now.
Reply:I found out with my daughter and was so excited I had to tell everyone. I just found out today that I am pregnant again, and I don't know if we will find out or not. My husband will have to help me decide. The doctor thinks it might be twins this time around, so we could have one of each! We wouldn't have to tell anyone, just keep both the boy and the girl things!
Reply:I didn't want to know for my first but I'm 30 weeks with my second now and we know we're having another boy.

I wanted to know this time as I have all my sons stuff saved and if it was another boy, well, I'm all set for newborn clothes...but if it was a girl, I would want to buy some girl stuff.
Reply:yes i found out, i couldnt wait i know they say its a surprise... but Hell! i couldnt lol this is my first its good to know what your having i think so you know what to get and you can think of names
Reply:Yes, we knew after a couple months, it was confirmed a few months later. Knowing made preparation alot easier.
Reply:I found out the sex of all of my babies, while I was pregnant. It would have been fun to keep it a suprise, but I was better prepared by knowing what it is. I didn't have to pack to outfits to the hospital and buy a bunch of stuff that goes for both sexs. I have two boys and another boy on the way.
Reply:We chose to have a first baby be a surprise. It was lots of fun. We just stocked up on lots of yellow and pick a neutral theme for the nursery. However my second child came only 11 months later so when I found out I was pregnant I needed to know to prepare for this addition. On my third pregnancy I found out as well. We now have 2 girls and a boy. I think if we have another I will let it be a surprise.
Reply:I wanted to find out with my first and again with my second. I am just a really curious person. I couldn't wait the whole 9 months!!!
Reply:We made the hard decision a couple of weeks ago even though we we dont have the scan for another 4 weeks yet that we are not going to find out and have a surprise at the delivery, so I am buying very neutral colours for anything I do buy
Reply:well with the first 2 I found out and with the 3rd I had them write it on a piece of paper and give it to my hubby cause I was afraid I would cry if they told me it was another boy
Reply:We didn't want to know either. It was our first and we thought we would wait for the great surprise. Not many times in a person life do they get a great surprise. But it was a lot of fun to hear the stories people will tell you to let you know that they know if your having a boy or girl. Good luck
Reply:I found out that my son was a boy, and I'm pregnant right now and plan on finding out again. If this one is a girl, than I'd like to keep the next one a surprise. But for right now (and with my first pregnancy) I'm just too impatient to wait! :) Plus, if you want to buy ANYTHING for the baby beforehand you about have to know. They don't make much gender neutral stuff anymore. My next door neighbors didn't find out, and they bought both a bunch of girl stuff and a bunch of boy stuff. Then when their daughter was born they just returned all the boy stuff. I guess that's one way to do it, but it seems like a huge hassle to me. Good luck and Congrats!
Reply:Before i got pregnant, i always tossed up as to whether or not i would want to find out, but when i did get pregnant i was like nah i don't want to know. Plus my boyfriend doesn't want to know. My bf has had a few lapses where we've been shopping and he's like "you know, it would be sooo much easier if we just found out" But there is plenty of stuff that is out there that is unisex.

Some friends of ours have a 2 yr old boy, and he knew what it was but she didn't, you could always do that you just have to keep your specific buying a secret so he doesn't know :P
Reply:we wanted to wait, but my husband and i are both now very patient so we gave in as soon we were asked if we wanted to know....(lol) i am really glad we found out though, it would have driven me nuts in anticipation. Now we have everything ready for the arrival for our little girl. I

Knowing makes getting ready for baby easier. Unless you buy everything in neutral colors....like green and yellow. And who says a boy cant wear pink?? lol

good luck
Reply:I'm impatient and I found it the sex as soon as possible. I will be 32 wks tomorrow!
Reply:i found out on tue that i a having a little girl very existed. i had decided early on that if i could find out then i would an if i could not then it didn't really matter. as my family history is that for some reason the baby decides to be annoying and cross there legs so we cannot see.
Reply:i wasn't going to find out..i wanted a surprise but then once i got to the ultrasound i changed my mind.
Reply:Nope, not for any of them. Trying to decorate a nursery was still easy.
Reply:I found out with the first one, and have found out with this one as well (28wks prego) There is no way that I could keep something like that a surprise for the entire pregnancy!! Plus I wanted to know what we were having, so that I could buy things for the baby and not just use neutral colors.
Reply:We found out the sex of our baby (baby #1) because my fiance could not wait! I could of waited but im still glad we found out. It will make my baby shower easier.. we are having a girl. I think for baby #2 (when ever that may be) we will wait and be surprised.
Reply:We kept our first pregnancy a suprise...my husband's idea. It was fun to have everyone guessing and wondering the whole time! Everyone thought it was gooing to be a girl but we had a boy! When I found out I was pregnant again I told my husband that we are going to find out because I wanted to find out if I was having a girl or not...and I am!
Reply:I am 40 weeks pregnant with my first. I couldn't wait to find out what I was having. I am a very prepared person and I like to plan ahead. I do not regret finding out but admire those who can keep it a surprise.

Good luck!
