I live in new Zealand and I can't find a Shiba inu breeder. we are considering buying a puppy one. We are prepared for the puppy, but it's just finding a responsible breeder that is the problem. Any tips on how to find any? any New Zealand people here?
Im finding it hard to find a Shiba Inu breeder where I live?
When I was going through the process of finding a good healthy dog I checked craigslist.com, but then just bought one at

most dogs on this site are legit, it's just a matter of how much your willing to pay and also the crazy price tag for shipping. But you may be able to find a local one at that site.
Reply:Check out the New Zealand Kennel Club.

Maybe you could think about, if you're really serious about getting a Shiba Inu, buying one from overseas, say, Australia, and importing the puppy?
Good luck!
Reply:PLease, dont use a breeder. go to your local pound or rescue. i have two shiba inu's and they are crazy. AND DONT BUY ONLINE!!! WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE SHIPPED?!?! i didnt think so. they are very cute though.
Reply:Please don't buy from a breeder, so many beautiful dogs are destroyed in pounds daily.
