Help me find the name of this movie!?

I'm pretty sure it's Adolescent Dolls but I looked online to try and find the movie but I couldn't find it.

I'll tell you a little more what it is about,--

well in one scene the man is saying to another man "how did you find out what we're doing?" and the guy he is talking to is all bound up and he has like a gag thing in his mouth so he can't talk, so the man asks him again (remind you this guy is in a dress shirt, dress slacks, and he has a gun at his side) and the man bound up refuses to tell the man where he found out where he found out what he was doing. so the bad guy in the dress shirt and pants walks over to the tape player and puts on a song (gosh darn it i forgot the name of the song) and he goes out to his car grabs a gasoline can and pours it on the guy, holds a match up to him and asks him one more time where he found out about him and he refuses to tell and the guy blows him up... thats all i can say about it. PLEASE HELP!

Help me find the name of this movie!?
Could he have said Resovoir Dogs

Sharing a Subway Seat

Sarah attended St Claire's College, which was quite far from her big, lovely house. One day, she had to go to school via the subway. Come morning, the subway was so full of passengers that anxiety overwhelmed her excitement of traveling on the subway, and after taking evening classes, the buses were nearly empty and she always got anxious about traveling alone at night. Worried, she needed to find a seat, but she would be sitting next to a stranger. In a matter of seconds, she opted to sit with an old lady who had smiled at her before. In a situation like this, where the individual has to make decisions involving strangers, s/he will make these decisions based primarily on few rules.

Making judgments and drawing conclusions are prevalent aspects of human nature. As a result, few rules are applied to find a perfect seat on subway. First, it is unlikely that the individual will choose to sit by a burly person who gives off a sense of rudeness and hostility. His appearance and behavior is perceived as threatening and this, in turn, makes you subconsciously associate him with known threatening individuals such as criminals. This can give you a sense of uneasiness throughout your journey. Your instincts tell you that this is a 'threat', even if it’s not. Therefore, people tend to find someone who they perceive as gentle and 'safe'.

After finding a safe person, next rule is applied to find someone who will not disturb your journey. Focusing on a person’s body language in a particular situation through observation can help you decide. If you want an individual to leave you alone, after all s/he is a stranger, then you need to focus on their specific behavior. A person who is sleeping peacefully is not about to get up early. On the other hand a woman who is holding her purse tightly and looking towards the door is the one who meets your expectations. You can assume the lady is going to leave the seat thereby leaving you alone. Focusing on the characteristics of the individual to see if they match your desires, and avoiding unnecessary details is a hardwired routine in human nature. After all, you are not looking for a lab partner to dissect rats with in Biology, or a plumber to fix your tap. If you are looking for someone specific, then focus solely on their characteristics.

After finding a polite person, the next rule tells you to find a person who is following unwritten social law. Social rules and regulations that people make in relation to others are important. In every situation, focusing on the individual's personal social expectations is an important step in understanding the nature of others. Avoid sitting near a person who is breaking the Unwritten Social Laws; for instance; someone who is throwing food all over the place is a natural reaction. You need to size up the fellow passengers' behavior in order to know if certain behaviors are acceptable in a particular environment. If the passenger in question is a hyperactive child who is creating problems for everybody, avoid him, for his behavior will, consequently, draw attention to you. A child has a different view of the world than an adult. That can make many adults uneasy, and this is not something you want to experience. Your mind only needs a few seconds to gather information about somebody else and a human being has the full capability to judge a person from their behavior within a couple of seconds.

Finally, the last rule says always notice people’s reactions towards you to understand their minds. If the old lady is anxiously looking at you while clutching her purse, she is considering you a threatening presence, and you should avoid sitting by her. Her behavior leads you to believe that you appear threatening, even though you may appear completely harmless to someone else. People’s staring can make you feel that they perceive you appearance strange. Nevertheless, staring is a common aspect of human nature. You should not let their reaction to ruin your journey.

Sharing a seat with people in the subway is basically influenced by how one perceives them and their behavior. To make judgments and draw conclusions, a person's behavior and social etiquette are a few points to consider during a journey. These rules are not only helpful for finding a perfect seat, but also applied for an individual to understand the basic concept of human nature.

Dont find this offensive please..?

why is it when

white people get called crackers they find it offensive

why is it when

black people get called ********z they find it offensive

why is it when

chinese people get called chi**nkz they find it offensive

why is it when

japeneese people get called japz they find it offensive

why is it when mexicanz are called *****ckz they find it offensive

is it slang?

Dont find this offensive please..?
call me a cracker, I don't care what I'm called.

Pay me what I'm owed and leave me alone otherwise.

People are offended by way too much these days.
Reply:No it is not slang, especially for us blacks,we've taken it and made it a better word.No offense, but we don't want whites to say it due to the fact our ancestors where called that during slavery.
Reply:its a racist comment.Duh
Reply:yes it is and it is all stupid and they get mad when people call them that but i bet they call every and they mama get together they be just a talkin about every one
Reply:those words are too racist
Reply:People find it offensive because they are being called a name in a mean way. If somebody was arguing with you and they called you a name , you would be ticked. They are offended because that name might be something bad.
Reply:I could care less if somebody calls me a cracker- I would probably laugh my *** off if someone ever did to my face.
Reply:It's worse than slang...it's degrading and demeaning. People should be treated with the respect that you expect from them!
Reply:Crackers don't get offended. Call me that all day. Only the other races find it offensive. It's gay as hell. They are only words. Some people are just too proud.
Reply:It is not slang these are insults. I am latina but never heard the word spi*s in mexico. I don't believe I'm a sp*c I am mexican and that is the bottom line. People don't have to like it and if they want to label me that is fine. The people saying these things are the ones who have an inferiority complex and try to bring others to a lower level than they are in order to feel good.
Reply:same reason you find it offensive when people call you stupid.
Reply:its offensive because its very disrespectful. especially N****r. that is what white ppl use to call black slaves. the word n*igg*a is slang but n*igg*er isn't its just disrespectful. hope i could help!
Reply:Not only are they slang, they're also derogatory terms. They have different connotations than the actual name for the ethnicity.

For instance if I was talking about the new girl in school, and I said, "She's Japanese," that really doesn't say much about what I think about her. But if I said, "She's a jap," you'd probably get the idea that I wasn't too crazy about her.

I think it has a lot to do with the way the terms have been used in the past. If people used the word cracker more often in sentences like, "I wish I was as pretty as that cracker, she always has the cutest clothes, " or "I'm glad we had that cracker to help us out on our first day. Without her, I definitely would've gotten lost," I'd probably be less likely to be offended the next time someone called me that.
Reply:Because those terms are used to demean, make the person less than the equal in the minds of those who use the terms.

The same goes for terms like fag, or dyke, or queer, or pansy, or limp-wrist or ?????
Reply:These are all purposefully derogatory names for people of this or that background. You don't find it offensive because you do not fall into a minority (yet)..so there is no overall offensive name for you. Good luck
Reply:I don't care if people call me cracker but I wouldnt call anyone all of those other names. Yes it's offensive slang.
Reply:It doesnt matter what you like to call it, its something that offends people. So if you arent intending to offend, find other words to use. Otherwise, you sound very selfish using a word that you KNOW hurts others.
Reply:I wasn't aware that whites cared about being called crackers..

For the rest...

It is an inferiority complex...
Reply:No one should take offense to any word. I don't think to many white people are offended by the word cracker, at least none that I know.
Reply:another fvcking crack addict. What kind of fvcking q is that?
Reply:This is what I like to call...

words.

And black people are racist... and yet somewhat dumb.

They call each other n*ggas and yet they are happy about it! Wow...
Reply:It's ignorance. We passed that intolerant phase a long time ago. Our society now realizes that we are all people worthy of dignity regardless of ethnicity.
Reply:it's like some secret language, you are supposed to know not to say those things, and if you do people get offended, which makes sense i guess, but i think its kinda like, call me whatever, just DONT call me that. to some people they wanna say it more. So i think they find it offensive because those are things you arent supposed to say, and when you do, they feel like you have stepped on there rule, or whatever. just a guess. im prolly wrong.

~Ashlyn~ sorry i tend to get off the subject and ramble, the above answer it's sorta obvious.HA.
Reply:It's mostly the attitude of degradation that is connected to those words.

Can i find bugs around, in this seasonn?

i have a biology project in which i have to find 20 different bugs. they cant be broken or the same. i found 20 bugs but i kept them for a long time and when i pinned in the needles through some of them, they broke. now i have 15 bugs.

now that the weather is cooler i cant really find any bugs at all. can someone tell me where i can find some bugs in this weather? can someone tell me where i can maybe find where a earwing, weevils, mayflys and cicadas are most likely to be found or live.

Can i find bugs around, in this seasonn?
It's too late in the season for mayflies and cicadas. Depending on your climate you may be able to find some moths, wasps, grass hoppers, bees, box elders, crickets, spiders, or lady bugs. At least I still see these around here in my neck of the wood in zone 7. You could probably order some bugs from an entomology web site if that is okay to do for your project.

Good Luck
Reply:Some other local pet shops sells that kind of bugs.

Need help finding Rick and Bubba clip. First person to find gets 30 points.?

Some time ago in August, there was a Rick and Bubba clip about a Chinese funeral. The clip said that they hired a stripper to attract more people to the funeral. Now yahoo, please dont remove this. I am trying to tell what the clip is about so somebody can find it. It was one of the funniest things I have ever heard and I beg someone to help me find it. The first person to find it will recieve 10 points. Then I will post your username as a question. Once you get to that question and say something random, I will give you 10 more points. I will make one more username that says (Your username) 2 and then I will give you ten more points. So in all, the first person to find this clip for me will recieve 30 points in total. It is an offer you can't refuse. Please help me find this. PLEASE!!!!!!!

Men.. do you find womens genitals attractive?

Due to illness in my family, my partner %26amp; i have had to spend a lot of time in different countries so we keep our sex life alive with phone sex, text messages, pictures videos etc. when he requested a photo of my pussy, i thought it was just to help him picture me. I know men are very visual creatures when it comes to sex but upon further enquiries found that he really loves the look of it and says although some are nasty, he finds mine very sexy. Sure i'd rather he looked at mine than others if he likes to see them but i wonder do other men really find womens genitals attractive or is it just my freaky man? LOL.

I really thought it was just that he wanted to see all of me but he assures me that he finds it a turn on to look at and not just because he wants to visualize my body but that he finds it very sexy and good looking. When i asked if he liked to look at any in general, he said no that there are some that he finds ugly and some he finds sexy. R all u men this way?

Men.. do you find womens genitals attractive?
Well I dont know bout any other man but a womans pussy Is irresistible. Take plenty of pics for him close ups some farther away whole body shots you name it take the pic.
Reply:i dont now y we look to much the bodys of the girl( i think because men like to much to have sex)

then i say yes i find them attraktive

lol XD
Reply:This is the only attractive things in women along with their breasts.which men love.

But personally I like the whole woman body.

especially body from lips down to knees or cat muscles....
Reply:yes vaginas are beautiful
Reply:Not particulary.

Some females, who have had a lot of guys, have their shite all blown out with skin hanging all over the place. Which is why guys affectionately call them mud flaps, beef curtains, skin wings, etc.

Either way, I think most guys are just so happy girls HAVE their girly parts.
Reply:I love to look at all a woman has he is normal.
Reply:to me some are and some arent there are some with the huge hanging lips thats gross to me and there are sone that just look wonderful like short lips. and when it gets wet i would want to make love to constantly.
Reply:what is genitals?
Reply:Yes
Reply:Personally, I prefer seeing nice breasts and a trim figure. But tastes differ, and in your case simply do whatever pleases both of you.
Reply:The problem does'n relate to attraction but the trigger effect. Did you realize that sometimes in your life, when you see something, you just see the whole vivid memory in front of your eyes. Psychologists explain its as an anchoring effect. When an image,or sound, or sth else was craved deeply into your mind, it becomes a trigger. Whenever you see, heard the trigger, your mind will be back in that state. Your genital is just a trigger in that way.

Last time, he saw it= you guys having great sex. Saw it=great sex, saw it=great sex. Later on, it develops into a habit. He sees the picture, he feels great! Our mind couldn't distinguish between real genital or its picture once it became a trigger.

More talks can be found at http://loveevol.org
Reply:I know that I am
Reply:Yes we are. Do you need a second opinion?
Reply:Men are really very visual creatures. When I make love with my wife, I keep a small night light on so that I can see not only where I'm going but because I find looking at her as an intense turn on...so I suppose most men are this way.
Reply:Not all of us. When we're younger we tend to be in to much of a hurry to enjoy anything visual. We can tell if you turn us on in about 3 seconds. Then all we want to do is get our hands %26amp; --- on you. As we get a little older, we want to stop and smell the roses. We apprieciate you more, and we want to pleasure you as much as us. We've come to realize that if it's great for you it's great for us to, and we might get some again. It sounds like you two are still crazy about each other. Good luck
Reply:no
Reply:We like your genitals like you like diamonds. How's that?
Reply:Though I've n't seen many...I don't think it looks very pretty. Breasts are beautiful, but down there...doesn't look pretty enough. May be some of them look a little fresh than others...but that's all.
Reply:Yes, I find them very attractive. The look varies from woman to woman, just like eyes, nose, legs, breasts, etc., but they are still attractive. Just like the look for a man's penis varies from one guy to the next.
Reply:women's genitals are like women, everyone is different and beautiful in their own way. But some(especially when the lady is aroused) are just mouth dropping sexy.
Reply:Personally, I'm very visually stimulated, but I admit that a woman that turns me on would be one that I'd like to see, at least more than another. I guess that may be a bit confusing, let's try this. If I was turned on by you, I would love to see a picture of your private area. If I wasn't, I wouldn't. Of course he's going to tell you some are ugly! By and by, I'd say men find them attractive, some more so than others.

If you are willing to spend the money, designer jeans (Seven for All Mankind, Rock and Republic, True Religion, Citizens of Humanity) can run pretty small and they are also very long.

Reply:make sure your not trying on size 1 short or regular you need size 1 long or size 2 long cuz they might shrink when you wash them! =)

Find draft, grammar check, and the fourth para is my conclusion and i wrote in alternative term. Please help

The use of herbicide in lawn care has increased in the past year. Advertising has portrayed herbicide as a magician that could provide a nice environment in a really short time, in order to fulfill our desire. This chemical spray is use to destroy needless weeds and plants, but a lot of people overuse it, and that causes many problems. These problems can typically be found around us. Pollution in our water, and other effects on human health. Therefore, we have a responsibility to prevent the use of herbicide and protect our life and the environment we live in.

Herbicide contains two specific ingredients: glyphosate and 2,4D. These chemicals are commonly used in farms, parks and golf courses. Farmers and gardeners use the chemicals to kill unwanted plants, but they don’t realize that the chemicals do not stay on the plants. The herbicides are getting into our water, rivers and, subsequently, into the rain. It could kill fish, beavers, frogs and birds.

I found that some researches have proven that weed killer is toxic to the environment. John Struger, a scientist at the Canadian Centre for Inland Waters, analyzed urban streams and detected nine types of herbicides. Tyrone Hayes, the developmental endocrinologist at the University of California at Berkeley, said that over-use of herbicide is directly effecting male tadpoles in the laboratory. He tested the level used in the environment, and found that this chemical removed the testicles of male tadpoles, and prevented male characteristics from fully forming. He concluded that herbicide exposure turns the tadpoles into hermaphrodites (creatures with both male and female sexual characteristics). If there are no more male frogs, frog populations will decrease, and, without the frogs to consume them, bug populations will increase.

In fact, herbicides are not only harmful to our environment but are also slowly poisoning both children and adults. Children are at a high risk of infection because their immune systems are very weak. A U.S. National Cancer Institute survey found that children with leukemia and asthma are six times more likely to come from homes where herbicides were used. Children are most at risk of developing problems because they play on lawns, and herbicides can enter through their skin. And according to Dr. Kelly Martin, 20% of the people who arrive in hospital emergency rooms with toxic herbicide exposure are children who have crawled on a lawn after it had been sprayed safely. The Ontario College of Family Physicians, the Canadian Public Health Association and the Learning Disabilities Association of Canada have said that herbicides affect children’s neurological development, reproduction, growth, and the functioning of the immune and endocrine systems. Moreover, Canadians are using approximately four million kilograms of herbicides every year. Adults have stronger immune systems, but are also affected by the chemical sprays, exhibiting symptoms such as sneezing, running nose, stinging eyes, headache and diarrhea.

Now scientist had investigated organic herbicide, this organic product is vinegar. Vinegar does great job in killing off weeds without hurting plants, animals and human. The acidic nature of vinegar (4 percent acetic acid) is what makes it an ideal organic herbicide. It is perfectly for farm and even home garden. All you need to do is make a one-time application of a quart of vinegar using a standard spray bottle. This is a cheap alternative way to protect both human and environment. You can find vinegar anywhere like Superstore, Safeway and Wal-mart.

This information reported by Rafiq Islam a soil and water specialist with Ohio State’s South Centers.

Find draft, grammar check, and the fourth para is my conclusion and i wrote in alternative term. Please help
u might want to check this sentence: *Pollution in our water, and other effects on human health.

in this sentenec: *Tyrone Hayes, the developmental endocrinologist at the University of California at Berkeley, said that *over-use* of herbicide is directly *effecting*male tadpoles in the laboratory. , i don't think over-use needs a hyphen. and it should be affecting not effecting

in this part: Now *scientist* had investigated organic herbicide, it should be either scientists or a scientist

u should check this sentence: Now scientist had investigated organic herbicide, this organic product is vinegar. i think it should be a period instead of a comma.

in this part: Vinegar does *great job in* killing off weeds without hurting plants, animals and human. it think u should say *a great job of

sorry if i critized too much..... it really a good conclusion

good luck i hope i helped

Find the charge?

A capacitor of C1=1.04uF is in parallel to a capacitor C2=4.83uF, C1 and C2 is then in series to a parallel connection of C3=8.13uF and C4 =3.48 uF (C1and C2 in series to C3 and C4). The potential difference V across the battery is 12 V.

a. find the charge on q1 on capacitor c1.

b. find the charge on q2 on capacitor c2.

c. find the charge on q3 on capacitor c3.

d. find the charge on q4 on capacitor c4.

i think that you would use the equation Q=CV to find the charge but its not working can anyone help me out....

thanks

Find the charge?
From the law of conservation of charge q1 + q2 = q3 + q4.

From definition of capacity q1=C1*V1, q2=C2*V2, q3=C3*V3 and q4=C4*V4. Because C1 and C2 are in parallel V1 = V2, because C3 and C4 are in parellel V3 = V4. The total potential difference V1 + V3 = V = 12V, so V3 = V - V1. Thus V2 = V1, V3 = V4 = V - V1. Then q1 + q2 = C1*V1 + C2*V1 = (C1 + C2)*V1, while q3 + q4 = (C3 + C4)(V - V1). So we have equation to find V1: (C1 + C2)*V1 = (C3 + C4)(V - V1) =%26gt;V1 = (C3 + C4)V/(C1+C2+C3+C4).

Now you can find V2 = V1 and V3 = V4 = V - V1 and finally use Q=CV to find charge of each capacitor.
Reply:First you need to find the effective capacitance of the system as a whole. Two capacitors in parallel add simply:

C(1 and 2) = C(1) + C(2)

Then two capacitors, say C$ and C*, in series add like this:

C($ and *) = 1/((1/C*) + (1/C$))

we have C(1 and 2) in series with C(3 and 4) which gives:

C(total) = 1/((1/C(1 and 2)) + (1/C(3 and 4)))

C(total) = 1/((1/(C(1)+C(2))) + (1/(C(3) + C(4))))

Now you have the total capacitance, and the charge comes from Q=CV, where you need to use C(total). The charge on the capacitor plates closest to the +12V will be negative, and the charge on the plates closest to 0V will be positive. Those capacitors will have equal and opposite charge on their other plates. It will turn out that the charge will be the same on every plate, except for the + or -.

Find absolute extrema on the closed interval...?

Find absolute extrema of the function g(x) = 2x + 5cosx on the interval [0,2pi]

I was trying to find the critical numbers, and I ended up with sinx = 2/5 and I'm not quite sure what (rational) value of x satisfies that.

I'm trying to find the critical numbers, so I could find the y value at them for g, and compare them to the y values at the endpoints, to find the absolute extrema.

Anyone could tell me what I'm doing wrong? Or what I should be doing next?

(Note: just an answer to the question will be useless to me, I need to understand how to do the question, otherwise I have the answer in the back of my textbook).

Thanks a lot.

Find absolute extrema on the closed interval...?
f'(x)=2-5sinx

setting this to zero

sinx=2/5

absolute extreme=2(2/5)+cosarcsin(2/5)
Reply:Setting f'(x)=0 gets you relative extrema, but you need to check the endpoints of the interval, too.

So d(2x + 5cos x)/dx = 2 - 5 sin x = 0 when sin x = 2/5, x = arcsin 2/5, x in [0,2π] = .4115 AND x = π - .4115 = 2.7301.

So you consider those 2 points AND the endpoints of the interval.

f(0) = 5

f(.4115) = 5.406

f(2.7301) = .8776

f(2π) = 17.5664

and from that the absolute extrema are obvious.

By the way, there's NO reason to expect your x's to be rational. At best, your first answerer could have worked out cos(arcsin 2/5) = (√21)/5, but he didn't mention that over the interval [0, 2π] arcsin x = 2/5 has TWO solutions, something that should be obvious from the graph of sin x. The definition of inverse sine is restricted to [-π/2, π/2] so that it will be a function.
Reply:Take the first derivative and find where it's equal to zero and when it's undefined. These are your critical points. Check to the left and right to see if the function is increasing or decreasing, or just take the second derivative and decide if it's concave up or down. This will give you your extrema.

7. If cos A = -(5/13) and π %26lt; A %26lt; 3π/2, find cos(1/2)A

Find cos 2y + Questions on Double %26amp; Half Angles.?
1)

cos 2y

= 2 cos^2 y – 1

= 2 (1/2)^2 - 1

= 2 (1/4) - 1

= (1/2) - 1

= -1/2

2)

Tan B = 4/3

then you have a 3-4-5 right triangle.

Sin B = -4/5

Cos B = -3/5

sin (B/2) = +- sqrt [(1 - cos B)/2]

= +- sqrt [(1 - (-3/5)) / 2]

= +- sqrt [(1 + 3/5) / 2]

= +- sqrt [(8/5)/2]

= +- sqrt (4/5)

3)

sin 2x

4)

cos (2*15) = cos 30

5)

cos 2y = 1 - 2sin^2 y

= 1 - 2(-7/25)^2

= 1 - 2(49/625)

= 1 - 98/625

= (625 - 98)/625

= 527/625

6)

if sin B = 0.6 = 6/10

then cos B = -8/10 (use pythagorean theorem to find that.)

cos (b/2) = +- sqrt [(1 + cos b)/2]

= +- sqrt [(1 + -0.8)/2]

= +- sqrt (0.2/2)

= +- sqrt (0.1)

7)

cos (A/2) = +- sqrt [(1 + cos A)/2]

= +- sqrt [(1 + (-5/13)) / 2]

= +- sqrt [(8/13)/2]

= +- sqrt (4/13)

Girls find guitar guys sexy. Guys do not find the same true for girls. Do lesbo's find girl guitarist's hot?

I feel like girls find male guitarists sexy while guys do not nesessarily find girl guitarist's sexy. Do lesbo's find girl guitarists hot?

Basically, do guitars provide no "sexy 1+" for girls or do girls just find all guitar playing people sexy?

Girls find guitar guys sexy. Guys do not find the same true for girls. Do lesbo's find girl guitarist's hot?
Depends on the image the person with the guitar gives off.. Yes these can be sexy in a rocker kinda way on both genders. I'd play it naked for my guy.....
Reply:i think that anything to do with music is a 1+ on attractiveness for girls.
Reply:If they're nice. Then yeah, I would like them. I think that anyone who knows a specific skill really well is pretty cool.
Reply:of course, if a girl can play a guitar, she can play me anytime lmao...
Reply:it depends of the person
Reply:What the heck are you talking about??? There's nothing sexier than a girl with a guitar strapped on, unless it's a girl with a bass...

Dammit now I've got to go do penance.

1. Find the domain of y=x+3 if the range is {-1,1,3,5}?

1. Find the domain of y=x+3 if the range is {-1,1,3,5}

2. A lake is 120 fathoms deep. use the fast that there are 6 feet in a fathom to tell the depth of the lake in feet

3. Suppose y varies inversely as x and y= 5 when x=20

find x when y=2

write an equation of the line in slope-intercept form with slope 1/3 that crosses the y-axis at (0, -2)

4. Find the product: -5a 2 (a 2 - 6a + 7)

5. Find the product:(6y + 5)(2y + 3)

6. Factor the polynomial s 2 + 25. if the polynomial

cannot be factored, write prime

7. Find the roots of 2x 2 - 5x + 1 = 0

8. Find the value of c to make g 2 - 18g + c s perfect

square

1. Find the domain of y=x+3 if the range is {-1,1,3,5}?
1) range is the x values and domain is the y values. so the range actually you can just state as -1≤ x ≤ 5. substitute the values x=-1 and x=5 into the equation to get the y values which are 2 and 8 respectively. therefore the domain is 2≤ y ≤8

2) 6 feet in one fanthom so in 120 fanthoms will be just 6 times 120 which will give 720 feet.

3) let constant be k

y varies inversely as x means y=k/x

substitute y=5 and x=20 in the equation to find the value of the constant which is x here. the value of k is 100. then the equation will be y=100/x. to find x when y=2, just substitute in y=2 into the equation then you will be able to find x which is 50.

when u say with slope 1/3 i take it that it is the gradient?

for a normal equation, the equation is y=mx + c where m is the gradient and c is the constant. sub m=1/3 to get y=x/3 + c. Then substitute the values x=0,y=-2 to find the value of constant c. c= -2. therefore u substitute in m=1/3 and c=-1, the equation of the line is y=x/3 - 2.

4) i assume that -5a 2 is -5asquare. (a^2 is a to the power of 2 in other words a square)

-5a^2 (a^2 - 6a +7) = (-5a^2 x a^2) + (-5a^2 x -6a) + (7 x -5a^2) = -5a^4 + 30a^3 - 35a^2

5) (6y+5)(2y+3) = (6y x 2y) + (6y x 3) + (5 x 2y) + (5 x 3) = 12y^2 + 18y +10y+15 = 12y^2 + 28y +15

6) I am not sure what the question wants me to do (sorry)

7) 2x^2 - 5x +1. Factorise this equation using general equation. (search for this term online because i do not know how to explain it here.) x=2.28 , 0.219

8) I am not sure what the question wants me to do. (sorry)

Can you find out the truth about islam before you comment?

Renowned female Scholar: Aminah Assilmi

Aminah is a renowned female scholar of Islam she travels around the United States to give lectures ,

her personal story has admired hundreds of individuals ,

she is also President of International Union of Muslim Women ,

the organization that has many achievements under its belt.

"I am so very glad that I am a Muslim. Islam is my life. Islam is the beat of my heart.

Islam is the blood that courses through my veins.

Islam is my strength. Islam is my life so wonderful and beautiful. Without Islam

I am nothing, and should Allah ever turn His magnificent face from me, I could not survive." Aminah

It all started with a computer glitch.

She was a Southern Baptist girl, a radical feminist, and a broadcast journalist.

She was a girl with an unusual caliber, who excelled in school, received scholarships, ran her own business,

and were competing with professionals and getting awards – all these while she was going to college.

Then one day a computer error happened that made her take up a mission as a devout Christian. Eventually, however, it resulted into

something opposite and changed her life completely around.

It was 1975 when for the first time computer was used to pre-register for a class in her college.

She was working on her degree on Recreation. She pre-registered for a class and then went to Oklahoma City to take care of a business.

Her return was delayed and she came back to college two weeks into the class.

Making up the missed work was no problem for her, but she was surprised to find that the computer mistakenly registered her for a

Theatre class, a class where students would be required to perform in front of others. She was a very reticent girl and she was horrified to

think about performing in front of others.

She could not drop the class for it was too late

Failing the class was also not a choice, for she was receiving a scholarship that was paying for her tuition and receiving an 'F' would have jeopardized it.

Advised by her husband, she went to her teacher to work out some other alternative to performing, such as preparing costumes, etc.

Assured by the teacher that he would try to help her, she went to the next class and was shocked by what she saw.

The class was full of Arabs and "camel jockeys". That was enough for her. She came back home and decided not to go back to

the class anymore. It was not possible for her to be in the middle of Arabs. "There was no way I was going to sit in a room full of dirty heathens!"

Her husband was calm as usual. He pointed out to her that God has a reason for everything and that she should think

about more before quitting. Besides, there was the scholarship that was paying her tuition. She went behind locked doors for 2 days

to think about. When she came out, she decided to continue the class. She felt that God gave her a task to convert the Arabs into Christianity.

Thus she found herself with a mission to accomplish. Throughout the class, she would be discussing Christianity with her Arab classmates.

"I proceeded to explain to them how they would burn in the fires of hell for all eternity, if they did not accept Jesus as

their personal savior. They were very polite, but did not convert. Then, I explained how Jesus loved them and had died

on the cross to save them from their sins. All they had to do was accept him into their hearts." They still did not convert,

and so she decided to do something else: "I decided to read their own book to show to them that Islam was a false religion

and Mohammed was a false

Prophet".

At her request, one student gave her a copy of the Qur'an and another book on Islam. With these two books she started on her

research, which she was to continue for the next one and half years.

She read the Qur'an fully and another fifteen books on Islam. Then she came back to the Qur'an and re-read it.

During her research, she started taking notes that she found objectionable and which she would be able to use to prove that Islam was a

false religion.

Unconsciously, however, she was changing from within which did not escape the attention of her husband.

"I was changing, just in little ways but enough to bother him. We used to go to the bar every Friday and Saturday, or to a party,

and I no longer wanted to go.

I was quieter and more distant." She stopped drinking and eating pork.

Her husband suspected her of having an affair with another man, for "it was only for a man that a woman changes".

Ultimately, she was asked to leave, and she soon found herself living in a separate apartment

"W hen I first started to study Islam, I did not expect to find anything that I needed or wanted in my personal life.

Little did I know that Islam would change my life.

No human could have ever convinced me that I would finally be at peace and overflowing with love and joy because of Islam."

Throughout these times, she continued studying Islam and although she was changing subtly from within, she remained a devout Christian.

Then one day, there was a knock on her door.

It was a man in traditional Muslim robe, who appeared to her as a "man in a long white night gown with a red and white

Checkered table cloth on his head".

His name was Abdul-Aziz Al-Sheik and he was accompanied by three other men in similar dress.

She was very offended by Muslim men coming to her in nightgowns and pajamas.

She was further shocked when Abdul-Aziz told her that he understood that she waited to be a Muslim.

She replied that she was a Christian and she did not have any plan to become a Muslim.

However, she had some questions to ask if they had the time.

At her invitation, they came inside. She now brought up the questions and objections that she noted down while she was researching.

"I will never forget his name", she said of Abdul-Aziz who proved to be a very patient and soft-mannered person.

"He was very patient and discussed every question with me. He never made me feel silly or that a question was stupid."

Abdul-Aziz listened to every question and objection and explained it within the proper context.

"He explained that Allah had told us to seek knowledge and questions were one of the ways to accomplish that.

When he explained something, it was like watching a rose open – petal by petal, until it reached its full glory.

When I told him that I did not agree with something and why, he always said I was correct up to a point.

Then he would show me how to look deeper and from different directions to reach a fuller understanding."

It would not be long before she would externally submit to what she had already been submitting to internally during the last one and half years.

Later in that same day, this Southern Baptist girl would declare in front of Abdul-Aziz and his companions:

"I bear witness that there is no god but God and Mohammed is His Messenger." It was May 21, 1977 .

Conversion to Islam, or to any other religion for that matter, is not always a simple thing to do.

Except for a few fortunate ones, a new Muslim usually face consequences.

The convert may face isolation from family and friends, if not pressure to go back to the family faith.

Sometimes, a convert may even face sever economic hardship, as in the case of those who are asked to leave the house because of

converting to Islam.

Some converts are fortunate to continue to be well respected by family and friends,

but most of them face minor to severe hardship especially during the first few years after the conversion.

But the difficulty that Aminah Assilimi had to go through and the sacrifice that she had to make for the sake of her conviction and faith is

almost unheard of.

There are few who could rely so much on Allah as she did, standing firm and meeting the challenges, making sacrifices,

and yet maintaining a positive posture and influencing people around with the beauty of what she found and believed in.

She lost most of her friends, for she was "no fun anymore". Her mother did not accept her becoming a Muslim and

hoped that it was a temporary zeal and that she would soon grow out of it.

Her "mental health expert" sister thought that she lost her mind. She attempted to put her in a mental health institution.

Her father was a calm and wise man.

People would come to him for advice and he could comfort anyone in distress.

But when he heard that his daughter became a Muslim, he loaded his double-barrel shotgun and started on his way to kill her.

"It is better that she be dead rather than suffering in the deepest of Hell", he said.

She was now without friends and without family.

She soon started wearing hijab.

The day she put it on, she was denied her job.

She was now without family, friends, and job.

But her greatest sacrifice was yet to come.

She and her husband both loved each other very much.

But while she was studying Islam, her husband misunderstood her for her apparent changes.

She became quieter and stopped going to the bar. Her changes were visible to him and he suspected her of having affair with another man,

for whom she must have been changing. She could not explain to him what was happening. "There was no way to make him understand

what was changing me because I did not know.

“Eventually he asked her to leave and she started living separately.

After she openly accepted Islam, it went worse. A divorce was now inevitable.

This was a time when Islam was little known, much less understood for what it is.

She had two little children whom she loved dearly and whose custody should have rightfully be given to her.

But in a grave violation of justice, she was denied their custody just because she became a Muslim.

Before giving the formal verdict, the judge offered her a harsh choice:

either renounce Islam and get custody of the children, or keep Islam and leave the children.

She was given 20 minutes to make a decision.

She loved her children very dearly.

It is perhaps the worst nightmare that a mother can have: asked to willfully leave her child - not for one day, month, or year,

but forever. On the other hand, how could she keep the Truth away from her children and live as a hypocrite?

"It was the most painful 20 minutes in my life", she said in an interview.

Those of us who are mothers and fathers, especially of young children,

little imagination is needed to feel the pain and torment that she must have passed every second in those 20 minutes.

What added further to her pain was that according to doctors, she could never bear another child because of certain complications.

"I prayed like I had never done before … I knew that there was no safer place for my children to be than

in the hands of Allah. If I denied Him, there would be no way in the future to show my children the wonders of being with Allah."

She decided to retain Islam.

Her two dear children – one little boy and one little girl – were taken away from her and given to her ex-husband.

For a mother, is there a sacrifice greater than this – a sacrifice that is done for no material reason but only for faith and conviction?

"I left the court knowing that life without my babies would be very difficult. My heart bled, even though I knew, inside,

I had done the right thing" . She found comfort in the following verse of the Qur'an:

There is no god but He,-the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep.

His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth?

He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them.

Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth,

and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory). (Quran 2: 255)

Perhaps the air of Colorado was too thin for justice. Or perhaps there was a plan in Allah's greater scheme of affairs.

Aminah Assilimi later fought back and took her case to the media. Although she did not get custody of her children again,

a change was made in the Colorado law that one cannot be denied child custody on the basis of his or her religion.

Indeed Allah's love and mercy engulfed her so much that, as if, she has been granted the touchstone of Islam.

Wherever she goes, people are touched by her beautiful words and Islamic manners and become Muslim.

By accepting Islam, she became a changed person, and a much better person.

So much so that her family, relatives, and people around her started appreciating her mannerism

and the faith that brought about such changes in her. Despite her family's initial reaction, she remained in touch with them and

addressed them with respect and humility, just as the Qur'an enjoins the Muslims to do.

She would send cards to her parents on different occasions, but she would always write down a verse from the Qur'an or the Hadith

without mentioning the source of such beautiful words of wisdom. It was not long before she started making a positive influence among

her family members.

The first to become Muslim was her grand mother.

She was over 100 years old. Soon after accepting Islam, she died. "

The day she pronounced Shahada, all her misdeeds had been erased, while her good deeds were preserved. She died so soon after

accepting Islam that I knew her "book" was bound to be heavy on the good side. It fills me with such a joy!"

Next to become Muslim was her father, the one who wanted to kill her after she became Muslim.

Thus he brought alive the story of Umar ibn Khattab.

Umar was a companion of the Prophet who persecuted the early Muslims before he converted to Islam.

When he heard one day that his sister became a Muslim, he went out with an open sword to kill her.

But upon hearing some of the verses from the Qur'an that his sister was reciting, he recognized the truth

and went straight to the Prophet and accepted Islam.

Two years after she (Assilmi) accepted Islam, her mother called and said that she appreciated her faith and hoped that she would keep it.

Couple of years later, she called again and asked her about what one would need to do to become a Muslim.

Assilmi replied that one had to believe that there is only One God and Muhammad was his Messenger.

"Any fool knows that. But what do you have to do?" , she asked again.

She replied that if that is what she believed, then she was already a Muslim! At this, her mother said, "Well …

OK. But let's not tell your father just yet" .

She was not aware that her husband (Assilmi's step father) had the same conversation with her a few weeks earlier.

Thus the two lived together as Muslims for years in secret without knowing that the other was also a Muslim.

Her sister who wanted to put her in mental institution accepted Islam as well.

She must have realized that becoming Muslim is indeed the most healthy and sound thing to do.

Her son, upon becoming adult, accepted Islam. When he turned 21, he called her and said that he wanted to become a Muslim.

Sixteen years after the divorce, her ex-husband also accepted Islam. He said that he had been watching her for sixteen years and

wanted his daughter to have the same religion that she had.

He came to her and apologized for what he had done.

He was a very nice gentlemen and Assilimi had forgiven him long ago.

Perhaps the greatest reward for her was yet to come. Assilmi later married another person, and

despite the doctors' verdict that she could never conceive another child,

Allah blessed her with a beautiful boy. If Allah (swt) makes a gift to someone, who can prevent Him?

It was truly a wonderful blessing from Allah (swt), and so she named him "Barakah

The sacrifice that Assilmi made for the sake of Allah (swt) was tremendous.

And so Allah (swt) turned in mercy to her and rewarded her with enormous blessings.

Her family discarded her after she accepted Islam, and now by Allah's mercy, most of them are Muslim.

She lost her friends because of Islam, and now she is being loved by so many. "Friends who loved came out of nowhere", she said.

Allah's blessings came upon her so much that wherever she goes people are touched by the beauty of Islam and accept the Truth.

Both Muslims and non-Muslims now come to her for advice and counseling.

She lost her job because of wearing hijab, and now she is the President of the International Union of Muslim Women.

She delivers lectures nationwide and is on high demand.

It was her organization that successfully lobbied for the "Eid Stamp" and had it approved by the United States Postal Service

but it took many years of work. She is now working on making the Eid Day as a national holiday.

She has tremendous trust on Allah's love and mercy and she never looses faith on Him.

She was once diagnosed with cancer some years ago.

Doctors said that it was in an advanced stage and that she would live for another year.

But her faith in Allah (swt) remained strong. "We must all die. I was confident that the pain I was experiencing contained blessings."

As a brilliant example of how much one can love Allah, she mentions about a friend of her named Kareem Al-Misawi who

died of cancer when he was in his 20's:

"Shortly before he died, he told me that Allah was truly Merciful. This man was in unbelievable anguish and was radiating with Allah's love.

He said: "Allah intends that I should enter heaven with a clean book." His death experience gave me something to think about.

He taught me of Allah's love and mercy."

All praise is due to Allah, she continues to live in good health.

She now thinks that having cancer was the greatest blessing that she ever had.

This sister's sacrifice is comparable to the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim Alaihi Salaam ...

As rightly said by Shaheed Sayyid Qutb . Sacrifice - is the making of a Muslim ...

"There is no Islam without struggle, and there is no struggle nobler than sharing Islam with those deprived of its beauty and blessings."

Let us turn to Allah to help us lest our human frailties overwhelm us when sacrifices are demanded of us, and to seek His forgiveness for all our shortcomings and failures:

"Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You did lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden

greater than we have strength to bear. Release us from our sins, grant us forgiveness and have mercy on us…" [Quran 2:286]

The fact of the matter is that Islam is a copy and a meld of at least three other religions, all being fictitious and based upon an invented god, just the same as every other religion currently and throughout history.

The truth is what each individual perceives and I choose to ignore the god aspect and concentrate on the effect upon humanity. In the case of Buddhism, I have no complaints at all. Same with Taoism, During our not too distant history, Christians, especially the Catholics, have been responsible for gross atrocities. Right now, however, it is Islam that is the root of the bulk of existing and imminently potential problems globally. While moderate muslims sit back and say nothing about the acts of their more radical brothers, it is the same as condoning the death and destruction.

The Qu'ran itself is the source of the problem. The truth about Islam is there for all to read and not just the nice bits - read it all. There follows misinterpretation about so much of its contents - by muslims and imams. Women's dress, for example is a HUGE distortion of the original. There is no instruction that women should be totally hidden from the view of everyone. Dress modestly, both men and women, is how it was originally meant. Are muslims simply unable to control their sexual urges? In the rest of civilised society we do NOT have unaccompanied women gang-raped by seven sexually-repressed men and then jailed for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. A disgrace. Sharia law is clearly riddled with oppressive laws to protect men!!!

The plain facts are that Islam is an everyday source of stupidity and Sharia law, interpreted as it is and applied as it is, is a gross infringement upon human rights.

The plain facts are that the bulk of the destruction of property and killing of innocent people, fellow muslims among them, is perpetrated by muslim youth between the ages of 20 and 27 and groomed for this by irresponsible teachings at far too many masques and madrasses.

The religion is ONLY perpetuated by the 'no choice' indoctrination of young children.

All gods are imaginary and religion is the biggest confidence trick ever played upon humanity. Anyone over the age of 12 years and with an active applied intelligence will reject it - if their government is secular and if the laws of the land allow religious freedom - and freedom from religion if so chosen.

Currently, Islam is a weeping sore on the face of mankind and no-one is applying the cure. It could be too late.

You can stuff Islam and you can stuff Sharia law. We don't care for 7th century impositions upon the free.
Reply:Thanks for the posting. Actually, a person NEEDS LUCK; as well as research in order to convert to Islam. I have to say that before converting, my point of view of Islam and Muslims was very poor. Luckily, I had a very dear and close friend (who was also Jewish like myself) and he would always tell me that he's absolutely sure that Islam is 100% true. At first, I disagreed with him...but as time passed by, I was convinced gradually that Islam was the one true religion.

BTW, 9/11 has nothing to do with Islam being a "religion of hate"; as many westerners now claim. Islam is a very great religion; no matter if billions of people disbelieve in it.

Find the velocity as a function of f?

The equation of motion of a particle is s= 2t^3 - 9t^2 + 5t + 7 where is in meters and is in seconds.

a) Find the velocity as a function of t.

(b) Find the acceleration as a function of t

The equation of motion of a particle is , where is in meters and is in seconds.

(a) Find the velocity as a function of f .

(b) Find the acceleration as a function of .

(c) Find the acceleration (in m/s^2) after 3 s.

Find the velocity as a function of f?
(a) velocity, v = ds/dt

hence, v = 6t^2 - 18t + 5

(b) acceleration, a = dv/dt

a = 12t - 18

(c) acceleration, A after 3s can be found by substituting t = 3s into the equation a = 12t - 18 (answer for (b))

hence, A = 12(3) - 18 = 36 - 18 = 18 ms^2

btw, u're repeating the same question, and yet the 2nd (a) that u put down does not make sense, firstly, function of f when f is never given/doesnt appear in the question?
Reply:(a) v(t) = d s(t) / dt = 3.2t^2 - 2.9t + 5 = 6t^2 -18t +5

(b) a(t) = d v(t)/ dt = 2.6t -18 =12t -18

(c) a(3) = 12(3) - 18 = 18 m/s^2

Find average power by elevator motor?

A 646 kg elevator starts from rest. It moves up ward from 3.98 s with a constant acceleration until it reaches its cruising speed of 2.06 m/s. The acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s^2. Find the average power delivered by the elevator motor during the period of this acceleration.

I first used vf=vi +at to find a and i got a=0.52 m/s^2. Then I tried to find the force by plugging in F=ma to get 334.36 N. Then I tried to find W (W=Fx). How do i find x though. Is that d=v/t. I got 173.06 Nm for work. then for average p= W/t which i got 43.48. Is this correct??

Find average power by elevator motor?
Hmm...

You need to find the resultant force, that is the F from F=ma (334.36) minus the weight (W = mg, where g = 9.8)

To find x, use v^2 = u^2 + 2ax.

v = final = 2.06, u = 0 because from rest, a you have calculated.

Hence x = (v^2 - u^2)/2a.

Then use that with the resultant force multiplied by the distance (x) to find the average power of the motor.
Reply:Vf = Vo + sqrt(2*a*x) solve for x

Xf = Xo +Vo*t + 0.5*a*t^2 solve for x

Baby Gender? Find out or no...see details please, I want both sides?

Last month when I went to the Dr, I could have found out what I was having. My husband didn't want to know so I told the Dr I didn't want to know (Hubby didn't want to know last time, but I found out anyway and wouldn't tell him). Later down the road I made a comment about a gender neutral outfit being "too girly" and he said that from that comment I was having a girl. Turned out he was right.

For those of you who waited...Did you ever want to change your mind and find out to make planning easier? How did you make it thru without finding out??

For those of you who didn't find out, but then later changed your mind and found out...at what point?

I am having mixed thoughts this time about finding out. I don't want to know b/c it really doesn't matter, but at the same time I want to know so that I can have the perfect coming home outfit and everything already set up??

Baby Gender? Find out or no...see details please, I want both sides?
Ok I will give both sides because I have just found out that we are expecting a baby girl that I am so excited about. However, it is quite strange because I kind of think what is there to tell people after she is born? Her weight not quite the same as saying wow it's a lovely little girl or boy. I am not regretting it but perhaps next time I wouldn't find out. It is a tough decision that initially can be made so quick. However, I can get a little organised now but then it would serve me right if the sonographer was wrong haha. Good luck with everything.
Reply:I've had 2 kids and I've done both...with my first one I waited, and I just got everything in yellows, mint green, red, stuff like that. Things that would fit both a girl and a boy. Turns out I had a boy, and let me tell you, I seriously wish that I would have found out, cause for like the first 5 months, when he was in yellow and mint green clothes and blankets, all i got were people telling me what a beautiful daughter I had. So on my second pregnancy as soon as I knew I could find out the sex I did. And it was a girl, and this was much easier, because I was able to plan everything, she had the prettiest dress to come home in, a gorgeous princess themed room, and at the baby shower, everyone knew I was having a girl so I got so many things that a little girl would want. So my thought is to find out! But thats just me :)
Reply:We found out in August that we're expecting a boy in January. It seemed like an eternity before we could find out, so I can't imagine going until my due date without knowing what the baby is. I promise you, you won't be less excited just because you find out early. We've already named him and call him by that name when we talk to him. People are making things for him with his name on them, such as a baby blanket with his name embroidered on. We REALLY wanted a boy, and if it had been a girl then I think I would've needed that extra time to prepare myself mentally! (I'd be ok with the next one being a girl.)

It really is a personal choice, so good luck to you and congrats!
Reply:You already answered your question. Reread your question and you will see that you are leaning towards going ahead to know the baby's sex. You are not doing it only because of your husband's preferences. Convince him that you both don't have to be hurrying to get stuff for the baby when he or she is born. You don't want your baby to be wearing a whole bunch of unisex clothing where people often make the mistake to think it's a boy when it's a girl and vice versa.
Reply:Its a girl. Don't question it.
Reply:With our first child we didn't find out and it was kind of nice to be suprised, but with our next two we found out because one we really wanted to know and also since we already had one child we wanted to know so we could save money by saving our first child's things ( our first was a girl and so was our second, so we didn't get rid of her clothes and all the girly stuff)

Our third was a boy so we could prepare and also it is easier choosing names. I don't really see the big deal in finding out, it's not as if it is some kind of sin to find out, whatever both parents agree on.

Our friends had the ultrasound tech put the sex of the baby on a piece of paper in an envelope and give it to them and they opened it on Christmas, I thought that was kind of cool.
Reply:I agree with you...I found out with both of my kids...I also wanted to have them in the perfect outfit coming home (and for their first picture) and yes, having everything already set up made it alot easier :)

I do know that even if you are told it is never 100%...
Reply:I did not find out. We chose not to. Because, as you said - it didn't matter. As it turns out, the time spent being pregnant and wondering was small compared to the time since our children have been with us (they are grown now). So, it is a matter of relevance. Six months of wondering verses 25 years of knowing........not such a big deal. As for the perfect coming home outfit.......there are plenty that are gender neutral.

I hope I've helped you.
Reply:no
Reply:My sister-in-law found out at her 4 month appointment and immediately regretted it. She just wishes it had been a surprise.

A pregnant coworker didn't find out and therefore didn't get many clothes items since no one knew what she was having. She got lots of junk like hangers, wipes, etc.

I'd want to know because I've heard it helps you bond with the baby, when you know what sex it is and what the name will be. Not to mention the practicality of it - planning ahead, etc.
Reply:We can't wait to find out the "flavor" of our baby! My reason is that I'm just curious. My husband wants to know so that he can plan better. I think it's part of the fun of having a baby... More power to those who can last 9 months without knowing!
Reply:I didn't find out with my first child, but with the second I did because I wanted to know if I should be buying things in different colors.

Personally I wish I wouldn't have found- out it's the element of surprise and you can't get that back.

10 years from now will you care or even remember what you took them home in without looking at a picture. I just see that beautiful face with both of them and not the clothes.
Reply:I know how you feel.. I changed my mind what seemed like a 100 times..I wanted to know..then I didn't want to know. Well when the time came when I was able to find out, I couldn't! Baby's feet were crossed! I was a little sad, but then I thought well maybe she wants me to wait! So the next time I had an ultrasound I STILL couldn't see. My husband really wanted to know too. But then the next time I had an ultrasound I couldn't wait to find out and now I'm having a girl.. I am SOO happy that I found out because I have the cutest girly outfits and perfect outfit to take her home in. I'm not into the green and yellows so in the end I'm very glad I found out.

I'm having a c-section on Saturday because she is still breech!

good luck and congrats on your pregnancy
Reply:I found out the sex of my baby. It was definitely easier for me so that I could plan everything and have all of the girly things for her before she was born. I didn't really think, being a single mom, that I would have time after she was born to shop for gender specific items.
Reply:The baby isn't really going to care what colors they have in their nursery, etc. The whole 'having to have gender appropriate colors' is solely for parents. I've never had a child, but... All I can say is get neutral clothes, greens, oranges, reds, etc, and don't worry, because at the rate your baby will grow you'll have to get all new clothes in a few months anyway. =) Good luck!!
Reply:if you know what the baby is you can buy cute little blue or pink outfits instead of gender neutral stuff. you can plan baby showers and the nursery so much easier. there is so many more suprises and anticipations with the birth of your baby besides its gender and its just as exciting when your getting the ultrasound to find out the sex as it is to find out at birth. so you should make life a little easier on yourself this time.
Reply:Just wait
Reply:hi it does not realy matter as long as u have a beautiful baby at the end thats all that matters.it is nice to find out the sex , but is also nice to have a surprise, i have 3 kids and found out the sex off all of them which is nice as u can get the colours u want then and plan more, but i do wish sometimes that i had not found out the sex so i would off had the surprise, but i wouldnt say its easy not knowing its very hard esp now they have made it so easy for u to find out the sex without paying for it. i say if u can ride it out and get that extra special surprise at the end as its all worth it . hope this helps. and good luck and i wish u well what ever u decide. xx
Reply:I never wanted to find out and it didn't make a bit of difference to my planning - I picked a boy's name and a girl's name, decorated in a neutral style, bought a grey buggy and lots of plain white babygro's. I had 2 children (both boys) and never considered finding out the sex, and if I had another 10 children I wouldn't find out either. The moment of my children being born and hugging their little naked bodies, not knowing what sex and not caring either because they were my perfect babies...I wouldn't miss that for the world.

To me, finding out is all about practicalities, its about what colour to paint the nursery - it doesn't have to be pink or blue.

JMO, seems like most people do find out these days so I'm probably in a minority.
Reply:Hi 'Kiddo'! :-)

I think you've just posted one of the most important questions any mum and/or dad-to-be could ask themselves - should we find out or go áu naturél?

While most couples cant wait to find out, its becoming an increasingly popular trend to just wait and see 'what pops out'.

I personally, found out at my 12 week ultrasound that I was having a little girl. I thought that was fantastic, as I'd always wanted a little girl to dress-up and play Barbies with! Finding out that early, also gave us another 6 and a half months time to prepare her nursery, and buy her clothes. I personally am NOT a big fan of unisex clothes, so I would have been DEVISTATED if I had have bought the wrong coloured outfits!

Finding out that we were having a little girl, also gave us enough time to paint her whole room 'fizzy' pink, buy about 250 pink, red, purple, etc. outfits before her birth, buy her a pink pram (I know - we might sound a little extreme here, but wait till you see it!!), buy her pink towels and we even knew to buy nappies for little girls.

See, if you dont find out the gender of your baby, how would you have possibly known to do all that? Personally, I think her room has become one of the most gorgeous rooms in the house - its so colourful, and there is a great atmosphere in there (until she starts screeching haha)...

NOW TO THE OTHER OPINION - It is of course every couples right not to find out if they are having a boy or a girl, if they do not wish to know.

My husband and I have discussed having another baby in that past, and we have made an oath to go to the other 'extreme' with this next baby - we dont want to know if we're having a boy or a girl, and instead of having another hospital birth, we've already made contact with a group of home-based midwives to have the baby in the bathtub at home! Pricey, but not too expensive to really understand and fully be able to witness childbirth without drugs or pain-killers, in the comfort of your own home!

So Kiddo, its really is up to you. Why dont you let yourself be suprised this time? Then you can even make a bet with your hubby to see if his pick was right or not... :-)

Good luck Kiddo!
Reply:I think it's good to know because you can plan better. On the other hand, people can be superstitious about knowing as if the pregnancy does not come to full term or there's an issue at the birth, you are already bonded with the child as an unique being, with names, outfits and all the associated paraphernalia. I can see both sides.
Reply:I understand your dilemma, but my husband and I chose to wait in finding out the sex of our first child, and it was such a great surprise in the end that it was so worth it!! I would TOTALLY recommend keeping it a surprise. Of course you want to plan a little bit, but maybe you can decorate in something semi-neutral (animals, perhaps?) and you can always buy two outfits to bring him/her home in! Buy one boy outfit and one girl outfit. You obviously won't use one, but you could save it for a potential next baby or give it away to someone else. I say - wait. Its really exciting, the anticipation! Now I am pregnant again, and we are saving this one for a surprise, as well!! Good luck!
Reply:I didn't wait, and I have no regrets.

There is joy and surprise at the MOMENT you find out the gender. To me, it didn't matter if it was at the ultrasound table, or the labor table.
Reply:i didn't have to find out. i knew the moment the test came back pos. that i was having a boy. my first AS confirmed it. as for as finding out or not is up to you. if you want to wait then just buy things that can be used for a boy or a girl. that way your covered either way. good luck and congrats.
Reply:This is totally a matter of personal ethics, taste and choice.
Reply:There are some boutique and shops that you can go in and pick out an outfit either for the girl or boy. You prepay a certain amount of money, or have them bill you for it. When you have the baby, the doctor's office calls the boutique and they ship it to the hospital. That's available in Louisiana anyways.
Reply:I thihk it's better to know in advance. That way you are already calling the baby by it's name and bonding with it. Not knowing isn't going to change the gender. Also it makes it easier for friends and family to pick out the right presents so you don't to worry about returning items. After all, the baby is who he or she is from conception, not birth.
Reply:Not knowing the baby's gender won't dapple your excitement of the new baby. Go ahead and go wild with your little girl's room. I mean, after all, does gender honestly matter? You have so many more surprises, such as eye color, size, and above all, your little girl's personality.
Reply:no
Reply:on the plus side you can get everything ready for the baby on the minus side the surprise can be very nice
Reply:i found out at 19 weeks. I couldnt wait, i dont regret it...cause now i can pick things out for my baby GIRL. =]
