Use multiplication to find the number of possible outcomes for tossing a dime and rolling a die?

1.Two dice are rolled, one at a time.Find the probability of rolling a 5 on the first die and a 2 on the second.Round to the nearest whole percent.

2.Four red balls numbered 1 through 4 and three blue balls numbered 3 through 5 are placed in a bag.a ball is drawn from the bag.find the probability of choosing a red or 5 ball.

3.a die is rolled.find the odds for rolling 5.

4.a die is rolled. find the odds for rolling a 5 or an even number?

5.six red, 4blue and 2 white chips are in a box. find the odds of choosing a blue chip from the box.

Use multiplication to find the number of possible outcomes for tossing a dime and rolling a die?
When a dime is tossed in mathematics puzzles, the two possible outcomes are heads or tails.

In real lefe there are also the possibilities of it landing on end, balanced on its edge, or getting lost ...it landed on floor, rolled under furniture, now we cannot find it ... somone found it and palmed it %26amp; claims to be one of the people still looking.

When rolling one die, the math possibilities are 1-6 (six possibilities)

When rolling two ... you have to figure all permutations of the two 1-6 (six times six)

in real life, they can end up not laying flat, they can be loaded.

When rolling 2 dice, the odds are 1 in 6 for something on one die irrespective of chances of something on the other, so there is 1 chance in 6 of getting a 5 with the first times 1 in 6 of getting a 3 after it, or 1 chance in 36 of getting that particular combination ... that comes to 100/36 or about 3 percent.

if you drawing 1 ball out of 7 %26amp; 3 are red, then the ods are 3/7 of drawing a red one one of the blue ones is # 5 ... 1/7 chance of drawing it ... so 4/7 chance of either, or 400/7 percent which is about 57%

I think you begin to get the picture
