Do women find men to be attractive, to the same degree men find women to be attractive?

I never see women showing the same enthusiasm for liking the way the opposite sex looks, in the same way men have enthusiasm in the way women look.





Do women not find men as attractive as men find women to be attractive?





If so, why? If I'm wrong, why? Is it because women usually go out of their way to dress "sexier" than men? If men dressed as sexy as women (clothing showing a lot of skin, vibrant colors, tight clothing), would women find men to be equally as sexy as men find women to be?

Do women find men to be attractive, to the same degree men find women to be attractive?
I never understood these lesbians that claim that they're straight but find women to be attractive and men to be ugly.





Just come out of the closet already.





Either that, or they're squeemish, and are still held down by patriarchal notions that women aren't supposed to appreciate the physical aesthetics of the opposite gender; only men are. This type of thinking is oppressive to both men and women. Oppressive to men because it makes men feel like they can't be "sexy" or "attractive" and must feel "ugly". Oppressive to women because it limits women's needs to express themselves sexually and explore their own sexual desires.
Reply:Yes women do find men as attractive as men find women. However, women have been told not to express such enthusiasm, as men have always allowed themselves that luxury. So, unless they found someone extraordinarily attractive, rich, or famous, such thoughts were normally concealed.





In addition, women's fashions traditionally accented their figures. But men's anatomies, except during the 70s, have always been more hidden.

but to some extent i agree with him...men get more horny and so are probably more obsessed with the opposite gender..women don't want sex as much and so they are not as attracted to men.
Reply:Please do not think of me as a braggart, but I find that a large percentage women are attracted to the way that I dress. I live in New York, and many of the women here are attracted to men who wear stylish clothing. It could be a culture issue with you. Maybe women where you live are not as vocal about their attraction.
Reply:It would be nice if men dressed well, instead of wearing horrible, ugly baggy clothes. Women might find them more attractive in general and show it more.


Women DO find men very attractive. I think we show it in more socially acceptable ways, because we are subject to the unsociable cat calls, etc.


But to the same degree as men. Since I have never been a man, I don't know what degree that is. My guess would be yes.
Reply:generally men are more visual than women. so what looks good catched their eye. women are typically more attracted to character traits. not that guys aren't attracted to character, but the initial meeting is all about the outside package which would have more of an impact on a visual person than a non visual person.

The more in demand a guy is (wanted by other women) the more she'll want him. And the more she wants him, the harder she'll try.
Reply:I think the word is handsome. Generally, I don't think so. I prefer my men: alpha males, rugged, %26amp; tall not the "pretty boy" look at all. Plus, we ladies also have more to accentuate (ie-T%26amp;A) whereas men don't.

Reply:Men tend to be more visual and rely more heavily on looks for sexual attraction. Women tend to weigh factors like sense of humor, personality and personal chemistry higher than pure looks into how attracted they are to a man.





I appreciate that Brad Pitt is absolutely gorgeous and perfect-looking. But to me, he has all the sex appeal of my sock drawer and I would take the much less textbook handsome Russell Crowe any day of the week.
