Find a job and then move or move and then find a job?

I have pretty much grown from where I've been planted. I'm now 27 and I'm looking to expand my horizons. I have applied for several jobs outside of where I live but they don't even review my application or my resume since I don't live in that area. Everyone tells me that I shouldn't move to a new location until I find a job, but that has proved difficult.

Is it possible to just move somewhere and find a job later? Can you find a place to live without being employed? How would you suggest sustaining a lifestyle in another area of the country while looking for work?

It's very difficult to support yourself in a new location without a job. On option is move in with good friends or relatives in another location who can be supportive. Otherwise, be sure to put in your cover letter that you are willing to relocate and that you will pay for your own expenses to travel for the job interview. Maybe that will help.
Reply:yes but have recent contacts call all old jobs ask 4 a good word from them so you can get a better life if you left the jobs on good terms and they were friends that can help you
Reply:with CASH in hand go some place for work.

accept what u can to keep cash in hand.

look for job in field. keep car locked and functional. go place t o sleep.

since u don't say the skill s u have , suggest using web to search job listings. search livestyles and costs in areas.

do ur homework and the transition will not be so hard.
Reply:i would say find a job and then move because if you find the job of your dreams then you can look for a home close to it but if yu move and then find a job....you could have a long commute......so i would have to say job and then move : ) good luck!
