Find the polynomial f(x) of degree three that has zeroes at 1, 2, and 4 such that f(0) = -16.?

1.Find the polynomial f(x) of degree three that has zeroes at 1, 2, and 4 such that f(0) = -16.

2.For the following equation, find the interval(s) where f(x) %26lt; 0.

f(x) = 1 Divided by x^2-2x-8

3.The polynomial f(x) divided x - 3 results in a quotient of x^2+3x-5 with a remainder of 2. Find f(3).

4.Express the following statement as a formula with the value of the constant of proportionality determined with the given conditions: w varies directly as x and inversely as the square of y. If x = 15 and y = 5, then w = 36.

5.Find the quotient and remainder of f(x) = x^4 - 2 divided by p(x) = x - 1.

Find the polynomial f(x) of degree three that has zeroes at 1, 2, and 4 such that f(0) = -16.?
Too many questions. Here's the answer for the one in the title.

Zeroes at 1, 2, 4 means (x-1), (x-2), and (x-4) are factors. So f(x) = c(x-1)(x-2)(x-4) for some constant c. Multiplying the terms out gives c(x^3 -7x^2 + 14x - 8). Then f(0) = -8c, so c = 2 gives f(0) = -16. That means f(x) = 2x^3 - 14x^2 + 28x - 16.

Find the equation of the line which passes through A(3, -2) and B(-2, 4).?

i need the formula for the following 4 questions:

find the equation of the line which passes through A(3, -2) and B(-2, 4).

Find the slope of the line with equation 3x + 5y = -2

Find what "a" is on a right angle triangle with the coordinates being A(3, 2) B(-1,-3) C(7,a). With A being the point of the right angle.

Find the intersection of 2x+y=5 and 3x-2y=11.

thankyou.

Find the equation of the line which passes through A(3, -2) and B(-2, 4).?
slope = (4+2) /(-2-3) = 6 / -5

- 6/5 = (y + 2 ) / (x -3)

- 6 (x -3) = 5 (y + 2 )

18 - 6x = 5 y + 10

6x + 5y -8 = 0

3x + 5y = -2

5y = - 3x -2

y = - 3/5 x - 2/5

slope = - 3/5
Reply:line through (a, b) and (c, d) is

y -- b = [(d -- b)/(c - a)](x -- a)

slope of line ax + by = c is

m = --b/a

Formula to find a in your question is

(slope of AC)(slope of BC) = --1 and slope you found in question 1

Intersection of ax + by + c = 0 and

dx + ey + f = 0 is given by

[(bf --ce)/(ae -- bd), (cd -- af)/(ae -- bd)]
Reply:A(3,-2) and B(-2,4)

m = (4 - (-2))/(-2 - 3)

m = (4 + 2)/(-2 + (-3))

m = -6/5

A(3,-2), m = (-6/5)

-2 = (-6/5)(3) + b

-2 = (-18/5) + b

-10 = -18 + 5b

5b = 8

b = (8/5)

ANS : y = (-6/5)x + (8/5)

--------------------------------------...

3x + 5y = -2

5y = -3x - 2

y = (-3/5)x - (2/5)

ANS : m = (-3/5)

--------------------------------------...

A(3,2), B(-1,-3), C(7,a)

AB = sqrt((-1 - 3)^2 + (-3 - 2)^2)

AB = sqrt((-1 + (-3))^2 + (-3 + (-2))^2

AB = sqrt((-4)^2 + (-5)^2)

AB = sqrt(16 + 25)

AB = sqrt(41)

AC = sqrt((7 - 3)^2 + (a - 2)^2)

AC = sqrt(4^2 + (a - 2)^2)

AC = sqrt(16 + (a - 2)^2)

AC = sqrt(16 + ((a - 2)(a - 2)))

AC = sqrt(16 + (a^2 - 2a - 2a + 4))

AC = sqrt(16 + (a^2 - 4a + 4))

AC = sqrt(16 + a^2 - 4a + 4)

AC = sqrt(a^2 - 4a + 20)

BC = sqrt((7 - (-1))^2 + (a - (-3))^2)

BC = sqrt((7 + 1)^2 + (a + 3)^2)

BC = sqrt(8^2 + ((a + 3)(a + 3)))

BC = sqrt(64 + (a^2 + 6a + 9))

BC = sqrt(a^2 + 6a + 73)

(AC)^2 + (BC)^2 = (AC)^2

(sqrt(a^2-4a+20))^2 + (sqrt(a^2+6a+73))^2 = (sqrt(41))^2

a^2 - 4a + 20 + a^2 + 6a + 73 = 41

2a^2 + 2a + 93 = 41

2a^2 + 2a + 52 = 0

2(a^2 + a + 26) = 0

a^2 + a + 26 = 0

Sorry, i can't find a solution for this one.

--------------------------------------...

2x + y = 5

3x - 2y = 11

Multiply top by 2

4x + 2y = 10

3x - 2y = 11

7x = 21

x = 3

2(3) + y = 5

6 + y = 5

y = -1

ANS : (3,-1)
Reply:equation is ax+by+c = 0

3a-2b + c =0

-2a+4b+c = 0

subtract

5a - 6b = 0

so a:b = 6:5

allow a =6,b=5, then see what c has to be

(because we only need the ratio of a:b:c)

6x+5y+c = 0

18-10+c=0 c = -8

6x+5y+c=0

-12+20+c = 0

6x+5y-8 = 0
Reply:I'll do the last one for you.

For intersection questions you just have to make one of the equations in terms of either x or y (that means it says x = something or y=something) and then sub that into the other one.

2x+y=5 .... (1)

3x-2y=11 .... (2)

so with 1 you get y = 5-2x

sub that into 2

3x - 2(5-2x) = 11 (see how they're all x's now)

3x - 10 +4x = 11

7x = 21

x = 21/7

x=3

then if you sub that into either 1 or 2 you will get an answer for y

and that will give you a point (3,-1) that is their intesection

p.s you'd be better off asking each question seperate, more chance of getting each one answered
Reply:To find the equation of a line given two points (x1,y1), (x2,y2):

1. Find the slope m = (y1-y2)/(x1-x2)

In our case: m = (-2-4)/(3-(-2)) = -6/5

2. Point-slope form: Y-y1 = m(X-x1)

In our case: Y-(-2) = -6/5(X-3)

3. Solve for Y (slope-intercept form)

In our case:

Y = -6/5X + 18/5 -2

Y = -6/5X + 8/5

------------------------------

To find the slope, solve for y and then the coefficient of x will be the slope:

3x+5y=-2

5y = -3x - 2

y = -3/5 x - 2

Slope is -3/5

--------------------------------------...

First, note that angle BAC is right, as stated. Therefore, AB is perpendicular to AC.

The slope of AB = (2-(-3))/(3-(-1)) = 5/4.

The slope of AC = -4/5 (negative reciprocal because they are perpendicular)

We also know that the slope of AC is: (2-a)/(3-7). Thus:

(2-a)/(3-7) = -4/5

(2-a)/(-4) = -4/5

2-a = 16/5

a = 2-16/5

a = -6/5

----------------------------------

To find the intersection of two lines, you have to manipulate the two in such a way to eliminate a variable to solve for the other:

3x-2y=11

(2x+y=5) * 2 = 4x+2y = 10

Add 3x-2y=11 to 4x+2y=10:

7x = 21

x = 3

Now, plug in x=3 to either equation to solve for y:

3(3)-2y=11

9 - 2y = 11

-2y = 2

y = -1

Thus, the intersection is (x,y) = (3,-1)
Reply:Slope of line can be detemined with 2 points (x1,y1) %26amp; (x2, y2)

For A (3,-2) B(-2, 4)

slope m = (y2 - y1)/(x2-x1)

= (-2 - 4)/(3-(-2))

= -6/5

substitute into y = m x + b one of the points, say A

-2 = -6/5 * 3 + b

or -2 = -18/5 + b

b = -2 + 18/5 = 8/5

so equation of line is

y = -6/5 x + 8/5

Slope of 3x + 5y = -2

rearrange to give 5y = -3x -2

or y = -3/5 x - 2/5

Slope is -3/5

Line 1: 2x + y = 5

Line 2: 3x -2y = 11

Rearrange line 1 to terms of y

to give y = -2x + 5

Substitute into line 2 equation giving

3x - 2 ( -2x + 5) = 11

3x - (-4x +10) = 11

3x + 4x - 10 = 11

or 7x = 21 =%26gt; x = 3

substitute into y = -2 x + 5 gives y = -2 *3 + 5 = -6 + 5 = -1

so intersections is (3, -1)

I need help to find the full video version of the youtube video with the following id "aYVjhJ3dOCQ" or "qXtN4aJafcY". Here is what happened:

I work with blogs, so I'm used to find every kind of information I want. Two weeks ago a friend of mine told he couldn't find the full version of that video ("aYVjhJ3dOCQ"), he told me he was searching it for a month and couldn't find it. So I suggested:

" I bet US$60 that I can find it in two weeks ",

And he accepted. Nine days have passed and I still cant find it. It's not a big deal but I would like to win that bet so i anyone can help me I still have five days.

If someone wants to know my blog adress just send me an e-mail.

Reply:Download the program GIMP. It's free. You can use the layer feature to put in a background scene of your choice. Then you can get a picture of yourself, erase the background and put yourself into any scene you want. It will take time to erase the background unless you take a photo of yourself in front of a plain color.

Where to find restored emails?

I have just restored some emails that I had deleted by accident. They went into the recycle bin. I clicked on 'restore all' but now can't find them. I checked through previous answers on here and find that the majority of people replied by saying 'back where they were' - well they aren't! They WERE in my inbox and sent items folders but those remain empty! The only answer that I found to be helpful was the one in the link, which just explains it all (and I understand) but the bottom line is how can I find them - I am prepared to 'go to a lot of trouble'!!!

This is the question that I found the helpful answer in:

http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind...

Where to find restored emails?
I think that the recycle bin would be unable to restore your deleted e-mails back to outlook but has probably restored them to a folder on your c drive.

I can only suggest that you do a full search of your c drive - all files and folders - word or phrase in file (your e-mail address).(it will be on both your in-box e-mails and your sent items)

Hope this helps you find them.
Reply:Hi there,

I am assuming that you are using Outlook as your email client since you never mentioned anything.

If you delete any emails from within Outlook they arent placed in the normal Recycle Bin (on your desktop) because they are treated differently from normal file (like what the link says).

They are instead kept in the "Deleted Item" INSIDE your Outlook. Try to look for your emails there (i hope when you delete your emails, you didnt hold down the SHIFT button).

Where can I find 'boyfriend' material guys???

I am a 20yo female.

I'm finding it hard to find a boyfriend! All the men I meet are after one thing and that turns me off.

I have no idea where to look to find a good, decent guy.

Im not un-attractive, I get checked out/ hit on basically on a regular basis, I just cant seem to find that one guy to be with.

Its getting very frustrating as I really want someone in my life to love and etc. Where do I find the right guy?

Ive been told that love happens unexpectedly...I honestly cant wait that long!

Any suggestions on what I should do???

Keep in my mind I live in Australia :)

Apparently im a great catch, then why the hell isnt anyone fishing for me??? Is it something that im doing or is it that good, decent men are hard to find???

Where should I be looking exactly?

Any tips on what I should be doing?

I have an age limit of 18-30 (not really into the younger fellas or the older fellas but age is just a number)

HELP!!!

Where can I find 'boyfriend' material guys???
Err Joe that was a line.....not an answer LOL This is funny!

As for you Matie, I believe the same thing is true for all of us.. we all want a 'man'. I think the answer is in your 'activities' and what you are interested in.. find your passion and start 'joining clubs' that center around your passion. I love birds, so I'd hit the bird clubs up ;) (as an example for myself)

Find the points of intersection of x^2 + y^2 = 4 and (x-4)^2 + y^2 =12 ?

show that these circles intersect at right angles; that is, that their tangents at either point of intersection are perpendicular.

i found their equation for tangent slope:

y^2 + x^2 = 4 came out to be -x/y and (x-4)^2 + y^2 = 12 came out to be (-x+4)/y soo... what do I do to find the intersection points and how do I find the slopes of them to find out if they are perpendicular (reciprocal and opposite sign)?

Find the points of intersection of x^2 + y^2 = 4 and (x-4)^2 + y^2 =12 ?
x^2 + y^2 = 4

(x-4)^2 + y^2 =12

x^2 - 8x + 16 + y^2 = 12

(x^2 + y^2) - 8x + 16 = 12

4 - 8x + 16 = 12

20 - 8x = 12

-8x = -8

x = 1

When x = 1, from the first equation, 1 + y^2 = 4 or y = +/- sqrt(3)

Validating these two points in the second equation

(x-4)^2 + y^2 =

(1-4)^2 + (+/- sqrt(3))^2 = 9 + 3 = 12

So the two interesection points are (1, sqrt(3)) and (1, -sqrt(3))

Now for two lines to be perpendicular, their slopes need to be negative reciprocals...

I'll leave that to you to solve.
Reply:Ok, here we go!

Formulae 1. x^2+y^2=4

Formulae 2. (x-4)^2+y^2=12

Expand formulae 2.

[x^2-2(4x)+4^2]+y^2=12

[x^2-8x+8]+y^2=12

x^2-8x+y^2=12

Therefore, formulae 2 is x^2-8x+y^2=12

Formulae 1. x^2+y^2=4

Formulae 2. x^2-8x+y^2=12

The point of intersection MUST fit into this equation right?

So you can either find x first or y.

Formulae 1- Formulae 2

-8x=-8

Therefore, x equals 1.

Now substitute x into any Formulae you want. 1 is the best.

8^2+y^2=4

64+y^2=4

y^2=-60

y= Square root of -60.

Hope this helps! Good luck!

Im trying to find a store that sells pixar fabric....?

i am going to be making a quilt like blanket for my friends son, and i have time to find the material (i have until March), but i cannot find many places that sell pixar material. all i can find is at Hancock Fabrics they have: finding nemo and cars. i am trying to find a few more (monsters inc, the incredibles, ratatouille, and toy story 1 %26amp;2) so it will have variety and hopefully at a not too expensive price.

Does ANYONE know where i can find fabric, even if i can only purchase it online. oh... i live in las vegas, NV.

Im trying to find a store that sells pixar fabric....?
If you can find a Wal-Mart that sells fabric they have lots of Disney prints. Nemo and Cars, Tinkerbell... I haven't checked the new stuff in a while. In my TX Wal-mart store it's like $3.96-$4.96 a yard. Also the quilting group I am in Quilt-N-Friends (a yahoo group) is great, if someone needs a fabric everyone will look through their stash for it and trade you or give it for free sometimes. Good luck!-Brandy
Reply:If you can't find a store, there are some on Ebay and other auction sites.

Reply:Do a search online for fabrics. Such as Fabric.com. Or search for specific stores online by typing in the name of the store. Also look in your local phone book (the one that lists surrounding communities) yellow pages for craftstores, hobbie shops or in the white under the name of a store that you know carries fabrics. Give them a call and ask for the type of fabric and the price. When you call you might ask if they know who else you might call. Talk to anyone you know who sews to see if they know where you might find pixar fabric. If you have a quilting quild or sewing group in your area you might contact them. People in those groups are usually in the know. Also try ebay.

Trying to find mother, i'm not adopted, she left years ago?

she left 20 years ago, and please don't say why bother looking, i only want closure, and yes i am sure that i do. anyway, i am wondering if anyone knows of a good way, i have even paid the $60 search and sent out about 12 letters to the addresses i got, with no responses. she may not want to be found, or i may not have found her, but either way, i am determined to. i have a friend who found her father through some organization, very small, i want to say it was called ALMA? anyway, i can't find any info on them, does anyone know of them, or some other similar organization i could go through? i really need to find her (physical address i can go to preferably), if for nothing else than closure. thanks in advance!

Trying to find mother, i'm not adopted, she left years ago?
Honey: it took me seven years of hard work, not so much money because I and a cousin did all the "walking" Start with an Internet number like lostpersons.com : Go to the last known address and talk to old friends. Find out where she might have gone, her dreams. Remember, the police don't have to tell you where she is, only is she O.K. so....there out. I'm sure right now she has another life if she's O.K. you might want to walk carefully, although she's your mom, she may not want contact with you, Be prepared for heartache.
Reply:Yes, it takes a special king of person to abandon their kid but, unfortunately it happens all the time. Whether your looking for closure or revenge, you have to ask yourself what you want. Please don't be to harsh on her, she may have had a motive that takes understanding. Report It

Reply:Try going into yahoo search then type in the words find missing person no dot com but not all one word either. The first 2 will say find missing person $9.95 , click on it it will bring you to usa people search it might be worth looking into best of luck
Reply:feel for you believe me...when my parents split, my mother couldn't handle life, so she split as well...I saw her 2 times over 25 years....I called her once to say I'd like to visit her, she said "there's nothing here for you", then some years later she called me and wanted to see me. Her idea, she bought the plane tickets, so I went. She was still sort of stuck in the past, but we had an ok visit. When it was time to say good-bye, I cried my eyes out, somehow I knew that was the last I'd see her, she passed away 4 yrs ago the 30th of this month, I don't know if there ever will be "closure", so much time went by not in my life, that it just leaves an empty feeling now...Sorry this isn't the most uplifting of a story, but sometimes we go looking for something that isn't there, and when we find it, it still isn't there...hope this doesn't sound too dumb....
Reply:when you say she left 20 years ago. what do you mean,? Did she give you up for adoption or leave you with a parent and take off.?

If she gave you up for adoption the agency might be able to help you find her address where she was when she gave you up . thats a start to at least were she was then.

You could really start with death certificates. 20 years she may not be with us anymore. Or marriage liscense. If she has married she may have changed her last name but looking up a lisence you can use her madian name and go from there knowing her new name. Could she have gotten arrested for anything anytime. She may have a record somewhere. Not to be evil but its a place to look.

Do you know the last place she worked.? You could ask people there. Do you know any of her relitives.? Some one she would still have contact with. ?

Do you think she is in the same state with you.? Try putting an add in the personals to find her, but make sure NOT to put your address or phone number. get PO BOX for mail. Thats safer.

Good luck.
Reply:i am not sure. but i would say try one of those tv shows. oprah, muary, etc. they might be able to really help you through their links. good luck!! i really hope u find her

Find internet downloads?

I downloaded a pic off an e-mail that was sent to me. I never gave it a file name. How do I find that pic?

Also, I found this once, but can't seem to find it again, how do you permanately delete info, web sites visited, etc. I know how to clear searches, cookies etc, but somewhere I found that I could permanately delete this info.

Thanks,

Find internet downloads?
As for the first question...On your computer start menu there is a search option (magnifying glass next to it) click on that option. Now you click on the option to search all pictures/photos on your computer then click on all images that come up on the list till you find the one your searching for.

Now the second question...If you have Morpheus/Limewire download Window Washer it is very good at erasing web sites visited...I use Window Washer myself and it deletes cookies and searches and so much more.

I can email you Morpheus or Window Washer if you'd like.

I hope my info helped and if you need anymore help feel free to email me :-)
Reply:if you know the file type of your pic, search, but it may find lots. a safe program is called mru blaster.
Reply:In fire fox the default save to path is the current user's desktop. so u can see that pic in the desktop of that user,in which u logged in that time, wen u downloaded the pic.

In firefox press Ctrl+shift+Delete to clear all saved data, history cookies etc etc from ur computer..
Reply:If you didn't rename the file then the name of the file is the same as when you downloaded it. Most programs download things to the same dir every time, unless you say otherwise. Go back to the program you used to download the picture and go to download another picture. Note where the downloaded file is being saved. Open that dir and look in there for the picture.

How you delete data from your browser depends on the browser type. In Opera it is under tools%26gt;delete private data, in Firefox it is under Tools%26gt;Clear Private Data and in IE7 it is under tools%26gt;delete browsing history. You want to delete your history and you temp. internet files, that should clear the address bar and the history window of your site visiting habits.

Additionally, in Firefox there are addons that prevent firefox from making a log of your usage or that clear that log upon exit.

Where can I find a vintage Neil Young Shirt?

I was looking on ebay for this vintage neil young shirt yesterday and found one i really liked. i was trying to find it for a birthday present for my boyfriend. It was all black with a white design on the front that said "Neil Young %26amp; Crazy Horse" %26amp; an awesome drawing design. On the back in white caps it said, "FREEDOM".

then last night, my boyfriend mentioned the EXACT shirt i had looked at and thought of bidding on for him. but now i cant find it, and the bidding is over :(

The shirt was worn but i dont care. I should have bid on it! I dont think anyone did so it may have just been discarded but I want to find it.

Does anyone know how I can go back and find an ebay item thats already ended?

Or possibly where I can find another shirt like that?

Pleeeease help!

Repost this with the title "Find the error",

and when you click "Submit Post", the

answer will be really obvious.

Find The Error! i cannot find it, i have looked for ages!?
Apart from the "i" needing to be a capital, isn't this one of those silly things like a chain letter where, once everyone has madly dashed to repost (to see said error!), Yahoo Answers will be full of the same question?
Reply:the question mark
Reply:there is no word which is " Error " in this line, actually the Q is tricky u r asking for the word Error in this line not a true error... am i alright?
Reply:It's missing the 0 so there is no need to repost it as I went to shoool:}? = HAHAHAHA
Reply:Find the error is the error, as there is no error to find. So, saying find the error when there is no error, makes 'find the error' the error.

Peter West is right
Reply:Perhaps the error here is in the way the numbers are positioned. Think of the numbers in a column.

Numbers 1 through 9 should occupy the "ones" value position, instead they begin in the "tens" value position.

Corrected, it would look like:

Sorry that I had to put dashes in front of 1-9 in order to get them to move to the right into the "ones" value column. Must be the website that doesn't allow a space before each number 1 though 9.
Reply:Is it that the "I" is not capitalized in the question?
Reply:Is it the question mark?

as "find the error" is a statement/challenge or request ~ not a question
Reply:its missing the 0

I cant find a decently priced 2gb ram on single stick for asus mobo wid 4 g supported but only 2 slots?WHATNOW

I Have a prob... i am upgrading ma pc to a intel core 2 duo e6600. I am realy tyte on ma buget so i found a ideal mobo of asus on the net costing 65 to 70 $ supports the core 2 and 4 gb ram .... i want 4 gb ram or atleast 3 ....... NOw the crazy part iz how do i get 4 to 3 gb in a 2 slot MOBO??. only thing i can do is find a single 2 gb ram stick and fit two of them or 2gb + 1gb for 3 gb ram........ NOW THE QUESTION IZ%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; WHERE TO I FIND A DECENTLY PRICED 2 GB on single STICK.... i want 240 pin ram.... AND WHY THE HEAK I CANT FIND 2 GB ram on the kingston site....?... they r one of the best memory makers and i cant find a 2gb single stick ram there?....

I cant find a decently priced 2gb ram on single stick for asus mobo wid 4 g supported but only 2 slots?WHATNOW
As Joe M stated, it is unlikely you will ever use more than 2GB of RAM unless you are either a server application running mounds of Cisco, or if you are an avid gamer and need better latency count for your RAM (which you will most definately pay for). My suggestion would be, depending on your motherboard, and if it supports it, find a good pair of 1GB sticks of Dual Channel Memory. Perfect fit even for a gaming application. I have been using (honestly...) two 512 sticks of Kingston ValueRam Pc 3200 for almost 2 years now, and haven't had any need for upgrade. Granted, my resources are normally all used with some games and applications, but as the saying goes... if it's not broke...

Here are some places that I shop for RAM... My suggestion (fundage allowed) would be the first on the list. Excellent RAM, not the cheapest, but tried, trusted and true to it's name.

Hope this helps! Good luck with your upgrade!
Reply:Just dump two 1gig sticks in it.

I can almost gaurantee you don't need more than 2gig of ram for any of the applications you are running. Even if you have several running at once.
Reply:the cheapest and best priced computer parts I have ever seen and bought from is newegg.com
Reply:every time we upgrade the capacity of a machine, we pay the price for a few years. the price will drop eventually. when the 1gb sticks first came out, you could expect to pay 100$ for them. now they are around 30-50$. the 2gb ram cards are still VERY fresh. dont expect to find one for under 120 just yet
Reply:It would most likely be less expensive to get a motherboard with 4 memory slots--if you can find a 2gig memory stick-it will be expensive.
Reply:go to http://pricewatch.com and see if you can find what u need there. just click on PC under the memory category.
Reply:30 to 40 dollars? hes talking ddr2 here, i dont think you will need more than 2 gig of the fast stuff, there are kits on newegg for around 130, for 2 gigs

Why can't i find her anywhere?

Why can't i find her anywhere?

i'm nice guy and handsome and everyone that i know likes me and half of the girls that i knew have crush on me but there not my type. my type is so hard to find that i can't find it anywhere i found 'it once and i been with her 7 years and now after she left me.

i'm totaly lost it been two years since we broke up and i'm alone without her! my question is why ist so hard to find my type or somone like my ex.girlfriend at least. i duno, ist me the problem cuz i'm born picky about girls? that why it so hard to find my type but what can i do to change and why ist so hard to find my

type when there alot of girls at my work and college have crush on me. why! why !

Why can't i find her anywhere?
Lower your standards to reality.
Reply:YOU NEED TO JUST LET LOVE IN AND NOT HAVE A TYPE AT ALL NO PREFRENCE JUST SOMONE WHO WILL FULLFILL THOSE NEEDS OF YOURS
Reply:sorry about ur ex but i thank ur tryin g to hard i mean yeal u know what u want and i understand u want tha best but being picky can make u past up that special someone

i mean just thank about it and take ur time
Reply:Because your either looking for the perfect girl and there is no such thing as one... Or you aren't fully over your ex...
Reply:its sounds like youre not over your ex, and are looking for someone EXACTLY like her, but that just won't ever happen. you dont need to "lower your standards" but try to be open to different types of personalities and quirks.
Reply:It just seems to me like you're trying too hard to replace your ex of 7 yrs. rather than just actually looking for another potential mate. If there are that many girls going for you, then you are just too picky. Try to loosen up and be more open to different people. Don't restrict yourself to just ONE thing. You never know until you try. Don't push every single girl away once she hits that button of being different from your ex...or from your tastes. Trust me, I know how it feels to be "lost" without someone...but it shouldn't stop you from living your life.
Reply:"Ist?" Sind sie deutsch? Either way, i bet it's just the high standards that are making it difficult to find the right girl. Lowering your standards would mean settling, and i wouldnt suggest it because you'll only regret your results. The best thing is to have patience i guess. Perhaps you and your ex girlfriend will resolve your differences and become great friends again.
Reply:Everyone is an individual. you are never going to find someone like your ex. Dont lower your standards, but dont close off options to others just because they havent got blonde hair blue eyes etc. I met a guy once who I could have easily spent the rest of my life with. When I said to a friend "But he's not my type" she said " Good, that means hes not an a$$hole".

Alot is to be said for that.

Find the initial population?

A bacteria culture grows with constant relative growth rate. After 2 hours there are 600 bacteria and after 8 hours the count is 75,000.

(a) Find the initial population.

(b) Find an expression for the population after t hours.

(c) Find the number of cells after 5 hours.

(d) Find the rate of growth after 5 hours.

(e) When will the population reach 200,000?

Find the initial population?
dy/dt = ky.

y = Ae^(kt)

If t = 2, y = 600

t = 8, y =75000

solve for A and e^k here.

600 = Ae^(2k)

75000 = Ae^(8k)

to eliminate A, divide the 2nd by the first. Then you will get your e^k. Then you can find A.

125= e^(6k) then e^k = 125^(1/6) = 5^(3/6) = √5.

600 = A*5.

To answer:

(a) the answer is simply A.

(b) the answer is the whole equation with A %26amp; e^k determined. Note: e^(kt) = (e^k)^t.

(c) when t = 5 find y.

(d) dy/dt = k(y5) , y5 is the answer in (c).

(e) when y = 200,000 find t.

You probably can do most of this now.

Where to find a cute Bugs Bunny plush toy?

I've searched the internet like crazy. I've found the ugliest Bugs Bunny stuffed animals you can imagine. I can't seem to find a nice one. I don't want any costume on the stuffed animal and I don't want him holding anything. I'm just looking for a simple, cute, Bugs Bunny stuffed animal and I can't seem to find any.

I've looked through Warner Brothers, EBay, Craigslist, the Yahoo and Google sponsored results... even people's own websites.

If you know where to find a cute Bugs Bunny stuffed animal, please let me know where to find one!

Maybe you've seen one in a certain local store that I can contact or take a look at their merchandise online?

I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHY THIS IS SO DIFFICULT. THANKS!

Reply:I always thought that Six Flags stores carried a decent bugs bunny stuffed animal. At Six Flags theme parks there is a looney toons store and they sell all kinds of looney toons plush.
Reply:My brother-in-law ran into the exact same thing a couple years ago. You would think they're easy to find, but they're not.

I can only suggest keep monitoring Ebay. From time to time they show up there.

Good luck!

Find Empirical Formula From Molecular Formula?

okay, I understand how to and can find the molecular formula from the empirical formula, and I can also find the molecular formula from the % composition...

I cannot however find out how to do in backwards, and find the empirical formula from the molecular.

can you give me examples, like what is the empirical formula of the following molecular formulas:

C6 H12 O6

C12 H4 Cl4 O2

Find Empirical Formula From Molecular Formula?
ok well in order to find E.F from M.F, simplify the subscrips.

step 1:find the molar mass

step 2: divide molar mass of molecular formula by the molar mass of emprical formula

step 3: multiply subscripts by the value ..HOPE THIS HELPS..
Reply:The empirical formula is the smallest whole number ratio possible.

C6H12O6

Notice that all three subscripts can be divided by 6? So divide them by 6 and you get CH2O which is the empirical formula.

C12H4Cl4O2

Notice that all the subscripts can be divided by 2? So divide by two and you get C6H2Cl2O which is the empirical formula.
Reply:emperical formula is the simplest whole number ratio between the atoms of a compound.All the ionic compounds are represented by this formula.

emperical formula of C6 H12 O6 is CH2O

6:12:6

1:2:1

the simplest whole number between its atoms is 1:2:1

emperical formula of C12 H4 Cl4 O2 is C6 H2 Cl2 O

Find the current in the bulb R1?

In the circuit of the figure , each resistor represents a light bulb. Let R1=R2=R3=R4= 4.51 ohms and let the EMF be 9.10 V.

A) Find the current in the bulb R1.

B) Find the current in the bulb R2

C) Find the current in the bulb R3

D) Find the current in the bulb R4

Find the current in the bulb R1?
______________________________

R1= R2 = R3 = R4=r = 4.51 ohm

R2 , R3 and R4 are parallel,their resultant will be r/3 or (4.51/3) ohm

R1 is in series with r/3

Net resistance in the circuit =Rnet=r+ r/3 =4r/3=4*4.51/3

Rnet = 6.0133 ohm

Total current = I tot =V/Rnet =9.1/6.0133=1.513 A

The current in the bulb R1 = total current =1.513 A

A) The current in the bulb R1 =1.513 A

____________________________

The current in the bulb R2= the current in the bulb R3= the current in the bulb R4=(1/3) the current in the bulb R1=1.513/3 =0.5044 A

B) the current in the bulb R2 =0.5044 A

C) the current in the bulb R3=0.5044 A

D) the current in the bulb R4=0.5044 A

_____________________________________
Reply:If they're in series, then you add up the resistance of each for total resistance:

Total is 18.04 ohms

A) I = V/R = 9.10 volts /18.04 ohms(hot resistance) = 0.504 amps

B) 0.504 amps

C) 0.504 amps

D) 0.504 amps

Each bulb will be W = IV = 0.504 amps (9.10volts) = 4.59 watts

Total Power ~ 18.4 watts

If they're in parallel, then:

Rtotal = 1/(1/R1) + (1/R2) + (1/R3) + (1/R4)

= 1/ 4(1/4.51ohms)

= 1/ 0.887 ohms

= 1.1275 ohms

Vtotal = V(R1) + V(R2) + V(R3) + V(R4)

Vtotal = 4V(R1)

(1/4)Vtotal = V(R1)

(1/4) 9.1 volts = 2.275 volts

A) I at R1 = V(R1)/Rtotal = 2.275 volts/1.1275 ohms = 2.02 amps

B) I at R2 = V(R2) / Rtotal = 2.02 amps

C) = 2.02 amps

D) = 2.02 amps

Each bulb will be W = IV = 2.02 amps(2.275 volts) = 4.59 watts

Total Power ~ 18.4 watts

How to find more raves in my area.?

I live by Milwaukee WI and i can only find raves once in a while. I would like to find more info about raves, I see that there are raves but its hard to find info for them. Otherwise i can find them once every couple months in my area and raves there r more in chicago but i cant travel yet. So i guess id like to go to more local ones even if theye more underground. Can neone help me find some?

How to find more raves in my area.?
First of all how you do it is when you go to a rave talk to people.

Sometimes places have a website that shows like me we have a couple websites or even facebook where my friends send invitations to all the raves. They are always flyer's unless they are underground then you basically have to know people

because the reason its underground is because they want no cops and possibly certain people.

so your best bet is to go on things like facebook or nexopia and try and find ravers in your town!
Reply:raves.com ravelinks.com the thing to do is just ask people who roll

so number 1 would be 8.5

seriously Hun, do your own homework
Reply:a, m, b forms a geometric sequence

then

m/a = b/m

m² = ab

m = ±√(ab)

1.

m = ±√5(12)

m = ±√5*3*4

m = ±2√15

2.

m = ±√1*7

m = ±√7

3.

m = ±√8(25)

m = ±2(5)√2

m = ±10√2

4.

m = ±√4(100)

m = ±2(10)

m = ±20

I'm finding it hard to find a girlfriend in the town I live in, compared to cities-any suggestions ?More below

I am a sporty, fairly intelligent, outgoing Uni graduate who works in a town. Previously in cities I lived in, it was easy to find a girlfriend who shared my sports hobbies, interests of reading, being worldly and having lively discussions. I'm finding it very hard to find someone here who actually shares things in common with me, who are within my age range (am 35 but looking for anything less than 37). They're tolerant towards outsiders, but not very open-minded to anyone who is from outside the town when it comes to relationships. It's also not easy to have a relation with someone from nearby cities as during the initial phase, the most important period, it's not easy to go out to places on a whim, but has to be planned to taken into consideration travelling time, etc. I'm prepared to move if necessary. but for the right person once I know them as I'd need to find a new job. Any helpful suggestions are most welcome. Many thanks in advance:)

Yes my friend and as time goes by you will find it even harder. Its gets so much harder once you reach middle age, and are now a generation above the dating sect. They are now mostly all taken, and only the rejects are left. How many good ones did you reject so you could play the field longer? I suggest you start doing another course, because you will only find intelligent unattached women there.

Why do I find it so difficult to find a girl to date?

I'm about 5'9", and 20 years old. I'm in school for technical theatre (I work backstage for plays and musicals and concerts and stuff) and it is a male centered field, unless you want to date a costumer and I do not. I don't like to blow my horn, but I will say that I consider myself intelligent. I also don't believe in the whole college dating mentality. I think a man should be a gentleman and do all the things a gentleman is supposed to do. I would never think of just "picking up a girl" for a night. The kicker: I've never had a date. Ever. Why? Why can't I find someone who isn't stupid and genuinely wants to listen to me and also isn't looking for a "dangerous man?" I've found plenty of nice girls who have one or two of those qualities, and I don't really think those are so off the wall, but not many with all three. And the few that I have found I have eventually found to be, quite honestly, crazy! Am I doomed to never find someone like that? Does anyone have any ideas?

Why do I find it so difficult to find a girl to date?
its just that you know what you want and you wont settle with anything less...a perfectionist some might call it...maybe you should lower your standards...no ones perfect
Reply:Women are attracted to many different thing but one thing that stands out is confidence. Love yourself and others will love you. Its a guarantee!
Reply:some girls aren't what you would expect when you first meet them...don't be so quick to judge.
Reply:Dont worry about finding a girl !! Trust God He has a plan for your life you just have to be willing to follow it !!! He will put the girl of your dreams in your life you just have to let Him work in your life !!!!
Reply:if u see a girl u like let her come to u and don't push her
Reply:It's hard to find a girl like that, but they really do exist. Often, in college, those are the girls you're not going to see though. They'll be in their rooms, not out partying. To find a girl like that, you sometimes just have to wait until you're older and then look for the sucessful business women. I know exactly 2 girls like that, and I'm one of them. And believe me, I know a lot of girls. It's just as hard to find a guy like that though. I guarentee somewhere out there there's a girl looking for a guy just like you. Try looking in different places though. Girls like that, often won't go into theatre, and pretty much never into bars. Also, if you're looking at the ones in the short shirts, mini skirts, and high heels, you've got the wrong idea. Us sensible ones don't dress like that!

Can you find them all?

There are 30 books of the bible in this paragraph. Can you

find them? This is a most remarkable puzzle. It was found by a

gentleman in an airplane seat pocket, on a flight from Los

Angeles to Honolulu, keeping him occupied for hours. He enjoyed

it so much, he passed it on to some friends. One friend from

Illinois worked on this while fishing from his john boat.

Another friend studied it while playing his banjo. Elaine

Taylor, a columnist friend, was so intrigued by it she mentioned

it in her weekly newspaper column. Another friend judges the job

of solving this puzzle so involving, she brews a cup of tea to

help her nerves. There will be names that are really easy

to spot. That’s a fact. Some people, however, will soon find

themselves in a jam, especially since the book names are not

necessarily capitalized. Truthfully, from answers we get, we are

forced to admit it usually takes a minister or scholar to see

some of them at the worst. Research has shown that something in

our genes is responsible for the difficulty we have in seeing

the books in this paragraph. During a recent fund raising event,

which featured this puzzle, the Alpha Delta Phi lemonade booth

set a new record. The local paper, The Chronicle, surveyed over

200 patrons who reported that this puzzle was one of the most

difficult they had ever seen. As Daniel Humana humbly puts it,

“The books are all right here in plain view hidden from sight.”

Those able to find all of them will hear great lamentations from

those who have to be shown. One revelation that may help is that

books like Timothy and Samuel may occur without their numbers.

Also, keep in mind, that punctuation and spaces in the middle

Are normal. A chipper attitude will help you compete really well

against those who claim to know the answers. Remember, there is

no need for a mad exodus; there really are 30 books of the bible

lurking somewhere in this paragraph waiting to be found. God bless

Can you find them all?

Where to find Bodum tea?

Bodum tea (tropicana flavor to be specific) is no longer sold in the states or at least I cant seem to find it. Even in Taiwan its hard to find can someone shed some light as to why Bodum tea is so hard to find in the states? I can always find the the accessories to make tea but not the Bodum tea itself. Can someone shed some light as to why Bodum tea is so darn hard to find these days? Is there something in the tea that makes it illegal to sell? Someone please clue me in to whats really happening. Thanks.

Where to find Bodum tea?
I did a little research for you, but I got this pretty good link.

I found you a better one with a phone number

Need help finding the equation to solve this Physic problems. I'll give 5 stars to anyone that can find it.

A 29 kg box initially at rest is pushed 4.53 m along a rough, horizontal floor with a constant applied horizontal force of 138.552 N. The acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s^2.

1)If the coefficient of friction between box and floor is 0.446, find the work done by the applied force.

2)Find the work done by the friction.

3)Find the change in kinetic energy of the box.

4)Find the final speed of the box

Need help finding the equation to solve this Physic problems. I'll give 5 stars to anyone that can find it.
Draw a free body diagram. You have the box with the weight =mass * Gravity. Normal force (Fn) equal and opposite the weight (in other words pointing straight up). You have the horizontal force to the right =to 138.55 N, and the force of friction. Remember the force of friction (Ff)=Fn*coeffcient of friction, or in this case .446*29kg *9.8 m/s^2 =126.75 N.

Now, you can go about the work a couple of ways. First find the work done if there was no friction (the applied force alone). Remember Work=F * D. Without the friction, the work would be 138.55N* 4.53m=627.63 Nm or J

The work friction does would be in the opposite direction (remember friction always opposes the direction of the applied force) The work to overcome friction would be 126.75N * 4.53 m=574.17 Nm. Depending on what level class you are taking, you might need to worry about signs or directions.

Now, the net work would be 627.63-574.18=53.454J

Remember Kinetic energy is measured in Joules, which we now have. Initial KE was 0 because there was no motion.

So, Final KE-Initial KE=Final KE (The final kinetic energy is what you calculated for net work)

Remember KE=(1/2)mV^2

To find the final speed of the box, we know the final KE 53.454 J and mass=29 kg.

53.454 J=.5*29*v^2

So, 3.68 = V^2

V=1.92 m/s

I worked this off the top of my head in a hurry, but should be correct.
Reply:man i wish answers was around when I was in school.

haha
Reply:1. Work = Force x Distance

2. work = mew ( mg)

3. Delta KE = delta work = net work

4. work = 1/2 mv^2

Hope that helps.

Find command in Unix?

How can I use find command in Unix to search two expression at a same time.

I am using following syntax to find the files containing $id expression.

find . -exec grep $id '{}' \; -print

How can I use the same command to search two strings at a same time.

I want to search the files in subdirectories also.

Any suggestions ?

If it is not possible with find, what command I can use to achieve same result ?

Thanks in advance.

Find command in Unix?
One way is to use egrep which lets you search for multiple strings using the | operator.

find . -exec egrep "$id1\|$id2" {} \;

But perhaps it's easier for you to use egrep with the -r (a.k.a.: --recursive) option instead of using find. GNU grep is very powerful these days - run egrep --help to see all of the interesting options.
Reply:Try this one....locate -exec grep $id and 'a new one here ' '{}' \; -print

Find the volume obtained by rotating the area (calculus question)?

hi, i would like to find out how to solve this problem. i am asking again as when i first asked i didn't get many answers and the ones i did get were incorrect anyway...

i would like to find out how to solve this problem. i would like to find the volume obtained by rotating the area between

y = 6 - ( x-1 )^ 4 and y = 5 around the y axis

i would like to find the exact answer (no decimals)

thanks for any help. it is very much appreciated

Find the volume obtained by rotating the area (calculus question)?
1st, we have to find where the area begins and ends.

Let us find the coincident points of the 2 functions:

6 - ( x-1 )^ 4 = 5

1 = (x-1)^4

So, x-1 can be either 1 or -1 andd then x=0 or x=2

Then we get to the calculus part:

We know the volume of a solid of revolution is INTEGRAL(pi·[f(x)]²dx), if it is around the x axis, and INTEGRAL(2pi·x·f(x)dx) if is the y axis.

Calculating the volumes, for each curve:

Volume of 6-(x-1)^4 is 116PI/5 and the other is 20PI

which results 16PI/5
Reply:You didnt get many answers because people arent gona do your work for you. BTW, i cant help you cause im doing gr 11 math, learning about complex numbers.
Reply:y = 6 - ( x-1 )^ 4

substituting y = 5, we obtain the limit, x = 0 %26amp; 2

simplifying y = 6 - ( x-1 )^ 4 we get

y = - x^4 + 4·x^3 - 6·x^2 + 4·x + 5

since

Area = ∫dA

∫dA = ∫ydx

∫dA = ∫(- x^4 + 4·x^3 - 6·x^2 + 4·x + 5)dx

A = - x^5/5 + x^4 - 2·x^3 + 2·x^2 + 5·x

substituting the limit will give you

A = 58/5

by 2nd proposition of pappus

vol = A * 2R, where R = is equal to the distance of the centroid from the rotating line. R = (1/2) the distance between pt(0,5) %26amp; (2,5), in your case. R = 1

V = 2(58/5)(1)

V = 116·/5 cu. units

Find the zeros?

Could someone please help me with this, I gave my answer to the teacher and did not get one right. I'm still trying to figure it out. if you could help, it would be great, thanks.

Find all the zeros of the function and write the polynomial has a product of linear factors.

1. f(x) = x^3 + 11x^2 + 39x + 29

2. g(x) = x^5 – 8x^4 + 28x^3 – 56x^2 + 64x – 32

Find a polynomial function with integer coefficients that has the given zeros

3. 0, 0, 4, 1 + i

Use the given zero to find all the zeros of the function.

4. x^3 + x^2 + 9x + 9 zero r = 3i

a) use the root or zero feature of a graphing utility to aproximate the zero's of the function accurate to three decimal places

b)determine one of the exact zeros (use synthetic division) and find the exact value of the remaining zeros.

5. f(x) = x^3 + 4x^2 + 14x + 20

Find the zeros?
I'll try to get you started...

PROBLEM 1:

Here you need to "guess" at a factor.that will make it zero. Take the factors of the last coefficient (29) divided by factors of the first coefficient (1 on x^3). Don't forget negative factors.

So your possible factors are {-29, -1, 1, 29}.

Start with trying 1... no good because everything is positive. I suggest -1.

f(-1) = (-1)^3 + 11(-1)² + 39(-1) + 29

f(-1) = -1 + 11 - 39 + 29

f(-1) = 40 - 40

f(-1) = 0

So you know (x + 1) will be a factor. Now do synthetic division:

......................... x² + 10x + 29

x + 1 ) x^3 + 11x² + 39x + 29

........... x^3 + x²

..................... 10x² + 39x

..................... 10x² + 10x

.................................. 29x + 29

.................................. 29x + 29

Now you have:

f(x) = (x + 1)(x² + 10x + 29)

From here you need to use the quadratic formula to solve...

x² + 10x + 29 --%26gt; a = 1, b = 10, c = 29

x = -5 ± 4i

So the zeroes of the function are:

-1, -5 + 4i, -5 - 4i

As a product of linear factors:

f(x) = (x + 1)(x + 5 - 4i)(x + 5 + 4i)

PROBLEM 2:

Same method with a little more trial and error.

PROBLEM 3:

If the zeros are 0, 0, 4, 1+i

Then you start with (x - r1)(x - r2)(x - r3)(x - r4)

That becomes:

(x)(x)(x - 4)(x - (1+i))

Or:

x²(x - 4)(x - (1+i))

Note: since you have a root of 1+i, you should have a root of 1-i... so multiply that in too.

x²(x - 4)(x - (1+i))(x - (1-i))

x²(x - 4)(x -1 - i)(x-1 + i)

x²(x - 4)((x-1)² - i²)

x²(x - 4)(x² - 2x - 2 + 1)

x²(x - 4)(x² - 2x - 1)

Finally multiply it all out:

(x^3 - 4x²)(x² - 2x - 1)

(x^5 - 2x^4 - x^3) - (4x^4 - 8x^3 - 4x²)

x^5 - 2x^4 - 4x^4 - x^3 + 8x^3 + 4x²

= x^5 - 6x^4 + 7x^3 + 4x²
Reply:i dont have time to do this all by hand (sorry- have an honors chem test tomorrow!) but an easy way to find zeros is to put the equation into your graphing calculator, under y= instead of f(x) or g(x)=, and then see where the line crosses the x-axis, or where y=0. these points will be your zeros.

and for #4, try plugging in 3i for x, and determining all your possible answers

hope that helped a bit!
Reply:By inspection of (1), f(-1) = 0

synthetically divide out (x+1) from the polynomial

-1| 1 11 39 29

_______-1_-10__-29________

1 10 29 0

so the result is

f(x) = (x+1)(x^2 + 10x + 29)

use quadratic equation to find remaining zeros

x = (-10 +/-sqrt(10^2 - 4*29))/2 = (-10 +/- sqrt(-16))/2

x = -5 + 4i, -5 - 4i, -1 !!

How do you find the music that you listen to?

to find my music i either go to my local record store and just look at the whole rack looking for cool cover art, record labels i like, who's on their cd as guest, listen to whats on their listening rack. also my friends help me out alot cause their just like me and want to find that hard to find artist. might sound dorky but i really dig myspace cause i can go from sight to sight listening to peoples music and then look who's on their top friends list and just keep going like that. myspace is a good way to find those under the underground artist cause anyone can put music on their. i never listen to the radio and never watch any of the mtvs cause for the most part their isnt much i like on there. basically im a digger and i'll spend hours just trying to find 1 artist that really speeks to me. thats pretty much how i find my stuff.

How do you find the music that you listen to?
myspace is my favourite too, using the method you said... especially if you;re into alternative and often unsigned bands.

i'm pretty lucky, because my friend has this obsession with music, and a thing for having the actual album, so i just get her to burn a back-up copy and lend it to me!

i noticed you've put this in 'hip-hop'. not sure where you're from, but some aussie hip-hop is fantastic. my favs are hilltop hoods www.hilltophoods.com.au (really bad name, but great rhymes!) also 'bliss n esso' and 'muph and plutonic' rock. 'funkoars' have great beats... lyrics can be really grotty tho.. i'm pretty liberal, but some of them even make me cringe!

good luck, and happy listening

Reply:yeah myspace is a great place to find unsigned talent too. for the most part i look through itunes. what irritates me about itunes sometimes is that they dont have all albums and artists so yeah. they should really create an underground hip hop genre to separate garbage from true art. but omg i feel you about the radio. i hardly listen to the radio anymore either because some of the stuff out right now rots my brain cells. lol.

Help me find the volume....?

Answer the ones you can

1) Density= mass/volume

mass= .5 gram

volume= 6 liters

find density

2) Find the Volume for the Cone(v= 1/3 • π • r² • height)

height= 15 inches

diameter= 9 inches

3) Find the Volume for the Piramid (v= 1/3bh)

height= 9

base=42

4) Find the Volume for the Cylinder (v= π • r² • height)

volume= 15 inches/liters

diameter= 6

5) Sphere: (v= 4/3 • π • r³)

volume= 36

find the radius

Thank you.

Help me find the volume....?
1) Density is usually expressed in g/cm³, but we'll keep it in lilters:

m = 0.5 gm

V = 6l

D = m / V

D = 0.5 / 6

D = 0.0833 gm / l

¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

2) h = 15in.

d = 9 in.

Find r;

r = d / 2

r = 9 / 2, or 4.5 in.

V = 1/3 π r² h

V = (3.14159 * (4.5)² * 15) / 3

V = (3.14159 * 20.25 * 15) / 3

V = 954.258 / 3

V = 318.086 cu. in.

¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

3) The volume of a regular pyramid is V = 1/3(Base Area * Height), so your formula is wrong.

h = 9 units

b = 42 units

A = b²

A = 42²

A = 1746 sq. units

V = Ah / 3

V = (1746 * 9) / 3

V = 15714 / 3

V = 5238 cu. units

¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

4) You ask for the volume, but then you give it, so the problem is misstated.

5) V = 36 cu. units

V = 4/3 π r³, or (4 π r³) / 3

Solve for r:

Multiplying both sides by 3:

3V = 4 π r³

Dividing both sides by 4 π:

3V / 4 π = r³

Taking the cube root of both sides:

³√(3V / 4 π) = r, or

r = ³√(3V / 4 π)

r = ³√((3 * 36) / (4 * 3.14159))

r = ³√(108 / 12.5664)

r = ³√8.5943

r = 2.0483 units

¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Reply:All you need is a calculator and a piece of paper and a pencil. There is no reason you can't solve these equations. All you do is plug in the numbers in the right place and solve for the missing variable using basic operations.

I will give you one hint. Pi = 3.14. Though most calculators have a pi button.

5th term =

4C4m^4-(5-1)k^5-1

4C4 = 1

5th term = k^4
Reply:1) The question is incomplete. What's the type of series? Is it 'arithmetic' or 'geometric' progression? I solved for both:

Arithmetic:(first term=a, the progress factor=q)

n(th) term = a + q*(n-1)

32=a+6q

20=a+2q

So q=3 and a=14 therefore 25th term=14+3*24=86

Geometric:(first term=a, the progress factor=q)

n(th) term = a * q^(n-1)

32=a*q^6

20=a*q^2

So q=(8/5)^(1/4) and a=20/[(8/5)^(1/2)]

You may substitute for 25th term...

2)As per above, here a=5 %26amp; q=-3

In arithmetic progressions, the sum of a series of consequetive terms from 1 to n would be n*[2*a+(n-1)*q]/2

Sum of first 75 terms=75*[2*5+74*(-3)]/2=75*(10-222)/2=-...

3) Your question is meaningless (what's the a5th term?). If you want the sum of the first 30 terms:

a=-4 %26amp; q=5 so sum(30)=30*[2*(-4)+29*5]/2=2055

4) Again your question is wrong. What's the order parameter (m or k)? Once it's cleared, simply substitute 5 instead of it.

Good luck!
